cmegorm250 Posted January 20, 2011 Report Posted January 20, 2011 okay so do you get worse mpg if you play your music full tilt all the time. it feels like my gas gauge goes down faster when i do. i dont have a h/o alt, its stock.

Boon Posted January 20, 2011 Report Posted January 20, 2011 Alts are kinda inefficient... if you're pulling 1000w from your system you're probably pulling ~2kw from the engine... if you're a very economical driver normally that might be enough to make a difference. However it's more likely that loud music makes you drive more aggressively/faster. 10.x volts fo' life!
