eric78702
I was wondering if there was a difference between facing the port upward or facing it aginst the trunk of a suv?
memphisBred
Against the hatch has always worked best for me. If you don't have enough room between the box and the port you might be better off facing it upward. The answer is different for various vehicles. iKidwell
Don't face it forward whatever you do, in most suv's port back is the best..Make sure there is about 6 inches between the hatch and port though Quote c'mon now, if i was shooting an 8 year old, it wouldnt be MY 8 year old. i recently got a Pyle PL1590BL and i was building an enclosure for it tuned to 25 hz. i didn't have any tools to cut a circle so i hit it with a big hammer. 2003 Infiniti G35 Sport Sedan Build in Progress

memphisBred
I hear 6 inches all the time. Not neccessarily true. If you have enough room try different positions. My XL 18 did better with about 4.5 inches of space. Quote SMD Super Seller/Buyer Audison----Hertz----Rainbow
memphisBred
Rarely will it be louder facing forward. Try it see if you like it, if not then try a different position. Quote SMD Super Seller/Buyer Audison----Hertz----Rainbow

The reason I ask is because I've tried both ways and they both sound the same to me just the only thing is I don't really hear or feel the lows but even when I do having it facing the hatch I don't get lows. My friend told me that it could be my port being so big.
memphisBred
Like I said just depends on the vehicle and your preference. May be louder that way. Quote SMD Super Seller/Buyer Audison----Hertz----Rainbow
