BanginOnABudget Posted January 24, 2011 Report Posted January 24, 2011 So, i really want to dampen the doors on my jeep, but the problem is, the only openings are in the very bottom of the door, i cant get any dampener to the top, i was was wondering, would it mess up the rigidity of the door if i took out the glass, then handles and stuff, and cut the inner door skin off, threw 2 layers of secondskin in there, and welded it back?? im taking out my passenger seat, battery is disconnected, going to unwire and take out the three amps, take out the 70+ lb box, then the platform so i can crimp 1 wire. Almost as bad as those fegs that put those horns in their grills and roll down the street distorting the block.... 1990 Jeep Cherokee 2 Dr. Big-3 in 0g on Stock Alt. Sanitarium Posted January 24, 2011 Report Posted January 24, 2011 if you wielded it back, it wouldn't hurt the strenght of the door but the wielding will likely catch the dampener on fire lol. There's got to be another way in.
