You could get those styrofoam eggcrates. I'm pretty sure those won't hold moisture, or it'll at least just bead up on the surface. Trying to break up standing waves?

well there is absorbent foam and then there is egg crate for breaking up the rear waves.

the stuff for absorbing the rear wave will hold water

most of diyma doesn't go into depth on how they deaden it. I think there is like 3-4 people that use egg crate. polly fill works better most of the time I have heard havn't tried both straight swap though
