Look through some threads in the enclosure section and hit up some wiring stuff too. There are plenty of people on here to help you. I'd say start with a new enclosure for just the sa-12. Depends on the amp, but if your amp is stable at 2 ohm, and your amp will not exceed the SA's RMS rating @ 2 ohm, then yes, 2 ohm is better, your sub will see probably triple the power than if its wired at 8 ohm. What amp are you using? Use the Torre's calculator in the enclosure section. It is stickied at the top. And I've used Torres calculator, but I'm such a noob that it's useless to me cuz I have no idea what all the numbers mean. I type my measurements in and then I get all these numbers. Haha.
