Good shit. I just read a thread about level 4 coils "smelling" without clipping. That amp looks like a little powerhouse too 8)

I have never experienced it but from talking to Dustin about his I decided to spend the extra money for the 5 coils. Its not much and I know the subs will easily take the daily abuse of the 2k with them.

I think with the Level 5 coils it takes the power handling to about 1500w.

According to Rusty and Thor, the power handling increases to 1.5k with the upgraded coils. Adding an additional spider increases it to 2k, but thats overkill for your system imo (as long as the box isnt ginormous).

You didnt get level 5 softparts though, right? The 5 soft parts make the sub insanely inefficient. Ill see if I can find the post.

Ha nope. Didnt want to drop any more cash than I already had. In the process of a 10min phone call with rusty I went frm ordering jsut one level 4 and keeping my same amps to ordering 2 level 4s, a 175.4, and a 2k. So my bill went from Just under $300 to over $1000 in about 10min.

Did you make those battery posts yourself or did someone make them for you? I need some like that.

A lvl 5 coil is fine-

the lvl 4 has two soft spiders and the lvl 5 has four stiff spiders. Your lvl 4 will end up so damn inefficient and the lvl 4 motor does not have enough potential to overcome the stiffs like the lvl 5. just stick with lvl 4s and the 3000D and pound away. The BL is a great woofer as well, I just dont have any experience with it so my advice is very limited in that respect. I have however put a Crunch GP3000D Pro on my one stock lvl 4 and it took it fine so flip a coin and get loud
