Back in the day, my buddy James, this dad won the Florida Fantasy sweepstakes. They bought a surround sound system. We took the powered 12" sub to the Cordia and somehow played it with the garage stereo he had. It was thumpin', but that was about it. We did not have an inverter or a radio with RCA jacks. Just thumpin' in his driveway. -Frank

Back in high school, on Friday nights I would take the living room Pioneer tower speakers (3 way w/12" subs), lower the rear seats, and throw them in the back of our MItsubishi Cordia. Than hook them up to the "Kracko" tape deck and jam 2 Live crew. What, I was 16?! And yes, the bass sucked. lol. I'd come home and my father would say "Where the hell are my speakers? DO NOT TAKE THESE OUT OF THIS HOUSE AGAIN!" -Frank

Does it have to expedited shipping? I know it does go by dimensional weight as well as size. I sold a RF T1D215 to someone in Australia, and he paid $173 USD in shipping. I think the weight was 32-38 lbs. You're better off buying a similar/equivalent product from England, Spain, Italy, or even China. Or go through the nearest dealer in whatever country it's in and ship it from there. -Frank

Oh, Steve, back in the day, Tampa Bay Auto Sound was building enclosures with hinged doors. I know of 2. 1. My neighbor's friend had a black Escort GT (remember them?) with 4 RF Pro Series 12's. 2 firing forward and 2 upwards, sealed. The 2 were mounted on the board that had a handle so you could lift it up and open it. Why? I assume it was double baffled. Anyway, I remember him stuffing *fiberglass insulation* into the box. lol. It's the first time I hear the term "it makes the woofers think they're in a bigger box". 2. An old school mate had a 1990 RS Camaro with 2 RF Pro Series 15's. Again, TampaBay Auto Sound used they a hinge. They used the trunk as an enclosure, you could see the brass hinge spine running along from side to side. Flush install, sealed. Looked really nice. The subs were mounted to a double baffle, it was a bitch for him lift the handle too. Lift up the lid and a Power 650 laid on the floor of the trunk. Anyway, RF & Tampa Bay Auto Sound was the shit back then! -Frank -typo

1990. Rockford Fosgate of course. 18" Punch Pro Series in a 4th order bandpass, PVC ports, walled Suzuki Samuri. Pushed by a Power 650. Later he added 4 Punch Pro 12"s and a Power 1000. I believe he was hitting 138 db or something like that with just the 1 18" back in the day. Orion XTR 15's walled. My buddy had a pair in his Honda CRX. It was loud. Someone in the next neighborhood had a white 80's Trans Am with the 6.6. He had 2 18's. He was the loudest that I ever heard rolling down the road. Concert loud! He had a HUGE "Auto Audio" banner on it. Auto Audio built the system out of Clearwater,FL. Thanks for the memories Steve! -Frank

Very nice build Steve! I like that you gave him "great equipment", but not the top-of-the-line stuff. Kinda like buying him a Kawasaki 250EX and not a 1000cc Ninja from the word go! We all have to start somewhere and appreciate what we have, and see how we can improve upon it down the line. He did the work, bragging rights allowed,.....you can't take that away from him.
