dawgs007
I have the opportunity to purchase 2 12" RF RFR2212 old school subs in "RF" box for $75. Both DVC 4ohm. I'm not familiar with them and was wondering if anyone has any experience with them? Idk if you've ever used them, but RF claims them to be 1000rms and 2000w peak. Seem legit? poorfish88
Everybody and the there brother has used em. They are RF power subs that were the shit back in the day. But most old subs suffer from sagging or weak spiders.

Well, I may try and get them then and wire them to 1ohm on an RF Prime 1200. Haven't had 2 DVC 4ohm in awhile. slowfkncar
You lucky bastard!!! Those were the shit! Yes 1000k RMS all day! 4" coil bro, besides the 10's I think. The sensitivity is not to bad either for a 4" coil. Probably because a short coil. Lmfao! Edit* 1000rms all day!

audiofanaticz
I had them when I was around 17. My first "real" woofers, Think I paid $880 for them in a ported box that was not a prefab. I remember I was making payments on them every week of $100-150 at the local shop that is now out of business. I had bought a RF 800a2 amp for them and bought a second amp down the road. Things where beasts for the time, but that was 15 years ago. Kind of wish I still had them, but as someone else said they most likely suffer from a sagging suspension (spider) being due to them being used, and really old. At that price tho Id buy them just for the motors, they where pretty nice motors on them, and are still nice. Reconed with some upgraded parts they could be some nice beasts!
