03 Silverado Singlecab 4x4 First Fiberglass Enclosure

Recommended Posts

Got a lil better pic of my new center hubs on the wheels, what do you guys think?

Posted Image

I wanted something with a bit more rugged look than the factory overly done chrome.

I cant afford wheels until I've saved ALOT so I think this is a nice touch. Mud grips will be priority before new wheels.

thats pretty cool

If I remember it was two 220 ohms in a parallel circuit.

However, I wouldn't advise just copying the resistors I used for this truck and LED's. Depending on the LED's (number of, color, size, voltage, draw) as well as the vehicle's stable voltage, depends on what resistors you need to be using.

alright, thanks.

Got some goodies in the mail today.

Not all of them are for me, My uncle is having me do a LED interior light swap for all the accessory lights (dome, map, courtesy) I'm still going to have to custom make the domes for his however.

But then these bad boys are going into my truck tomorrow hopefully.

The new DRL's (daytime running lights)

Had to do some modification to the harness to give them a clean and safe 12volts.

  • 5 months later...

So been doing some somewhat secret work over the past few months.

Little preview of what's going on at the front of the truck.

That's a pic of the paint job on the chevy logo, but don't think that's it, trust me once it's done it will be a one of a kind never seen before.

I'll give away 1 hint only: There's some VHT nightshade involved in that emblem. ;)

Oh and all interior lighting is LED...

*Note, this pic was before the controls on the right side of the pic were done, I need to take a few new shots, but I'll probably just wait until I get the whole tutorial drafted up.

Remember this is an 03, the first year GM incorporated "non replaceable" soldered in micro bulbs in all of the lighting. Meaning if your gauge lights burnt out you had to buy a new cluster.

This pic is not my truck, but a GM 03 I did. The steering wheel button controls were a BITCH!
