yea i guess yall older people out there have been there and done that but i had them subs for about two years and love them thangs and then i go and f them up on accident i was so mad at myself for being so ingnorant and next time i guess i will mark my holes for the sub mounting holes instead of just putting the screw on the mdf and pushing on the screw and drill buttin until the screw dug into the wood lol ive learned my leason no doubt

meaning u have never messed up a sub surround and felt like anything u did before was a waste of time i dont know why i felt that way but i did

thanks man thats what ive got to get tomorow some rubber cement man when i did that i had built the new box and painted the port caulked the inside and the went to put the subs in and then i fucked up and then i put a puncture in it and then i felt like a dumb ass and that all the stuff i did was a waste of time has anyone ever had that feeling before when u messed up on something

doesnt the finger nail polish dry hard i thought rubber cement would dry flexible thats what my dad said and he said its not ass bad i puncture through the surround but u can see it unless u get up close like the surround just closed back up but i am going to get some cement tomorrow to fix it and check out my buuild of the box and the sub that got damaged?

i built my new box put the subs in and went to screw them down and my bit came loose while i was drilling and punctured a hole in the surround can i play it like this or should i take it and get it some new surrounds or can i repair it on my own? please help

ight slinky thanks i am going to start the build this weekend and if i am going to tune the box to 36 for just daily which i have right now and i add 45's in all the corners do u think i should make the port tune to 34 or 35 becuase of the 45's taking up some of the airspace or will i not tell?

does that seem right for it to be loud on music i dont want to burp just for it to be narly loud? how should i do the removable ports because my box is with one port off to the side and its a l-port should i just make it where the port can unscrew and then i screw in the one for comps or can i not really do that with a box like that?

come on not trying to ba an ass but is there at least some people willing to help me out maybe even meade if he is still on

hey everybody i have some tens and i got them on a 600 watt amp right now i have the box tuned to 36 hertz and i wanted to know i might do some competions and what would be the right tuning frequency for some two tens for spl and they are in a 1987 chevy cavalier z24 i dont want to burp or anything i just want it loud as hell on music for comps and then when i get back home i can put my regular daily tuning of 36 hertz port back in basicaly want to have interchangable port so what do u reccomend or have u heard or done any spl with tens (tuning whise)

like 24 and its on a sony head unit which goes to 35 i think

not trying to sound like ass or nuttin but why would they even put peak on the subs if it wasnt needed they put it there meaning that ass much ass the sub can take or even a little more now on steve 4 18" doenst he have 4k watt on each sub and i know them 18"s arent rated rms or max at 4000 or below if u understand

yea check the other sub wires just change them around and it will thump thats what the guy told me at the car audio shop and it fixed it them subs i had was thumppin and again i felt dumb lol holla chris and thanks for the comments on my amp install

yea like everyone one else said them subs are out of phase back about a year ago i had the same problem told myself the wires were hooked up on the system and then i took it to a shop and he said man witch ur wires around and then turn it up i did it right there infront of the car audio guy and he was laughing and smiling i felt like a real dumbass but everyone has there moments thats about the only thing i can think of at the moment. holla and tell us if that fixed it which it probably will

so ur saying u just have ur power wire hooked to the battery and then straight into the amp? if so thats why you are getting voltage problems and drops? holla

yo sean i like the amp trip panel that thing is cool and how do u got that neon under the dash. it is a nice setup and now u got some room to put stuff in the back. now with a box tuned to 31 which do u like better the old one or new one? i want to know my box is at 36 and is loud but do u think i should tune to like 33? holla bro
