You have to have a fues within 18" of the sub amp. That is the fuse that they use to determine what class you are in. If you do not have a fuse there, you will be put into a 5 class.

What subs do you have? Two 15s? Two 18s? With two 15s in MOD3, you can run up to 164 amps of fusing. With two 18s, you can run up to 149 amps of fusing. You can spread that load across up to 3 smaller fuses. The fuses need to be within 18" of the amp.

No i didn't, it was my second to last line in post 6. lol... Anyway, you will want to get another fuse holder (mini ANL or AGU) and place it in-line 18" from your amp and stick a 40 amp fuse in it. That will put you in street 1. For street 2, you can run up to 90 amps of fusing. You can either use a single 80 amp fuse (cause I don't know of any 90 amp fuses) or you can use two fuses in parallel (one 40 and one 50) to get your 90 amps. You only need the fuse to hold up for 5 seconds so that the meter can get a reading. A lot of us will roll the volume up so that the fuse doesn't pop instantly.

You would want to be in the lowest class you can get in. In street 2, you are allowed to spread your fuse load over two parrell fuses, so you could run one 40 amp and one 50 amp fuse to get your 90 amp rating. Your amp should do just fine on that.

Well, if you have a regular trunk install or a hatch install that is below the rear seat line, then you could do street class. MECA uses a pressure class formula based on a combination of cone surface area and amp fusing to determine if you would be in street 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5. You have 78.5" of cone surface area with one 10" sub, so, you could run 40 amps of fusing in Street 1, 90 amps in street 2, 190 amps in street 3, 390 amps of fusing in street 4, or no fusing in street 5. Your fuse holder will need to be within 18" of your sub amp. If you have anymore questions, just let me know.

Yeah, it's pretty crazy. Over 154 at the headrest at 31hz.

It took a lot of tweaking, but i was able to get my pioneer to not skip at full tilt.

If you look at the test results, you will see that it did over 3000 watts while dropping to 10.75 volts. With a strong electrical system, it will make you happy.

I have had good luck with sub forward and port to the side in trunk cars. Where in Kentucky are you located?

Do you not have a remote? That pioneer will pause if you have a remote with the pause button on it. I also think you can pause it from the unit itself from the function menu.

They seem to like the power pretty well, I just try not to crank it to hard below box tuning.

I just wanted to post up some results from today. Jeremy McCord Two Sundown 3000D amps and two 15" Sundown Audio Nightshades 80 amps of fusing 1st place with in Modified 2 with a 150.5 @ 44hz 1st place with in Drive-By 2 with a 129.1 Also received SPL most improved and Drive-by Best of Show. Derek Jackson Two Sundown 1500D amps and two 12" Sundown Audio Nightshades 90 amps of fusing 1st place with in Street 2 with a 147.9 @ 35hz Also received the PHAT Car award and got second place in port wars with a 166.1. Corey Mitchell One Sundown 1500D and one 12" Audioque HDC3 60 amps of fusing 1st place with in Street 1 with a 143.3 @ 34hz 1st place with in Drive-by 1 with a 118.7 Also received the PHAT 12 award for the loudest single 12" sub of the day. I think his best score this year has been a 149.7 at the headrest on 50 amps of fusing. Pretty kickass for one 15.

Thats the trick. I'm running daily on my 80 amps worth of fusing. The fuses don't even get warm. We will see how things go when my second 3000D comes in. Hopefully before the weekend.
