    I've got some home movies that i recorded from VHS-C to DVD. Now i need to convert that to mpeg so i can edit them, then burn them back onto a DVD. Anyone have any suggestions on what to use to do that?

    That is what I thought too, but i tried two versions of it, and my friend tried the same 2 versions on his laptop, and it did the samething. PowerDVD seems to be the one of choice here. I'll look into that.

    I've had 2 different copies of Nero, and my friend has had the same 2 copies, and out cd's have skips in them. I've lost trust in Nero

    This is for the guys that built there own rigs (coughstevecough ), or at least have an "aftermarket", if you will, DVD player on there computers. I finnally coughed up the $ for a sata dvd-r/cd-r drive, and i need to know what you guys use to play these movies. Something good. Not a hog. Help me out!
