  1. if you are trying to burn media on a DVD you can set it up as a data disc depending on the unit you are playing it off. For movies/video I just burn the avi file to disc since my HU plays DivX. If you tell it to burn a video disc you will only get one movie per disc in really crappy quality.
  2. what kind of media are you playing off the net ? cause it could be one of your internet plugins not working..
  3. if its a password asking you to hit control alt delete to log on its windows....you do indeed need the ultimate boot cd..it has a program on it called locksmith that will change the password to whatever you want. Now if it was a windows xp Home machine you can hit f8 before windows starts up and go into safe mode and log on as Administrator with no password and then change everything back to the way it should be
  4. yea the only time I actually use a wrist strap is when the boss makes me cause we have visitors.....and I dont just swap parts I actually replace componets on circut boards and have never had a problem with static.
  5. if you just let it air dry it might cause corrosion on the board itself..and thats no good....I work in a PC repair depot repairing systemboards all day long...I always use SLX Denatured Alcohol to clean the boards....
  6. it depends on what version of windows you are using. I have had this problem with using a windows xp drive and trying to access it using windows vista and it didnt work....but when I connected it to an xp machine I had no problems at all...
  7. might be firefox freakin out...that happens to me when I am using my mac with the Safari browser....
  8. I have a mac mini for my carputer setup running off a carnetix P1900 V2.2 DC-DC Regulator....for the power and using the 3.5mm to RCA Converter for the audio. So not only do I get clean sound the mac mini starts up and shutsdown with the car itself...so no having to remember to turn it off
  9. yea for an issue like that I would back everything up and do a complete restore from the disc...the reason I say that is if you have a virus on your system it will stay no matter how many windows system recovery points you hit...
