Even according to the Sundown site, 4-5cubes is whats recommended with NS's. People run these in 4 all the time. I want 5.5 each and have been told thats too BIG! lol

It's not the HU settings...everything is set at 0 or lower. 6" aero which is enough for the size box. No clipping at all. The sub still smells free-air.

Already checked the coils as stated, they read fine...2.4 and 2.5 respectively, it's a d2 sub. So basically, the consensus is that I should start looking into the amp instead of focusing on the sub. What ideas there then?

Just installed my 18" Nightshade again...it has been sitting at a friends house for months now, no power. I hook it up to an AQ3500d.1 and stuck it in the box I used it before in which IIRC is 4.1ish tuned to 30hz. Everything on the amp hooked up right....no sound just a slight vibration. Turn the gain up and nothing. Then I remember Jacob telling me sometimes coils are mislabeled backwards. So go to take it out...the sub stinks pretty damn bad but not like a coil or really anything I personally have smelled before. Coil look fine, reads fine. Spiders look fine. Cone still stiff. Hook the coils up correct this time and anymore than 1/4 gain and the sub bottoms out and isn't even that loud. This sub was built to take a 3000d...it hasn't been clamped but a guess is that it's seeing no more than 1500w and I think thats being nice. Now, before when I had it on my 3000D, it bottomed out at times but not this bad. Any ideas on how to fix this or is just in need of a recone?

Sorry, no need for any subs ATM. The sundown or a pile of Damp pro...or cash to buy either of those lol

Just offer up what you have as long as it's Car Audio related...no need for ipods, or tvs, or laptops, or godda@mn boflex machines or whatever lol

Another 3000d + cash from me of course, maybe a package deal for say a 4500d or 5k amp, LVL5's perhaps, or money mainly

18" Sundown Nightshade d2, 2hard2soft spider pack, 50mm coil, built for a 3000d but will take more, 10/10 all around. Used motor when bought from Jacob, everything else is mint. NO gasket though. 325 + shipping, generally in the $40-$60 range. PM trade offers as I'm more for selling at this time.

Just curious as to how much extra + a single 3kd for both amps? This is exactly what I want for my omeags but noone sells these. I don't have pics of it right now, it's installed in my aurora. Was gonna put it in the TB but I want either more power or 2 seperate amps
