when the amp cuts out, is it the power, or just the sound? If you look at your front amp, does the protect light come on?, the power light go off?, or just the sound go out? It could be any number of things, this'll help narrow it down though. Late, Pat

I've been watching him for years, It was crazy sad to see him go. I feel for his wife and family I have a three year old as well, and I couldn't imagine him going on without me, more important me going on without him..... But think about it... 13 batteries off of a stock alternator? I don't doubt you, sounds crazy, but how long do those suckers take to recharge after a hard run? What kind of batteries? Optima, stinger, AA's, 9V Energizers???

Well, now I have to post my props for Dominick Iraggi. I caught him closing up, and he still took the time to BS a little, and figure out what I needed. He said to go with the 260 amputator with a second redtop because it'll be better at low rpms/daily driver style. It gets 8 miles a gallon and dosn't go over 3500 RPM's anyways, so good call on his part. It's nice to talk to somebody who dosn't try to sell off the most expensive thing he has all the time - So, good call david, and thanks to everybody. Crap, almost forgot the money thing. I'm thinking on spending 3-400 on wiring and battery or cap, more if I need the new alternator, but hopefully If I need the alternator, the xtra battery might not be needed, or the cap won't be needed, whatever.....late, Pat

Alright, now that the amp and subs are on the way, it's time for you guys to help with the Electrical. I figured that since everybody helped me out with picking the right amp(s) (check the amp choices post under the amplifier forum), we may as well keep the ball rolling with this. You guys have kept me thinking about different setups this whole time, and it seems like it's boiling down to the best sh** so far. Here is the breakdown at the moment: For sure I have 2 Kicker S15L7 Dual 4 ohms, and one RF T20001BD (birth sheet says something crazy like 2811 RMS at 1 ohm). Then comes 2 sets of polk components for the front, and 1 set kenwood components for the back doors (1995 suburban) These will have a 100x4 RMS front and a kenwood PS150 for the back........... So, is it going to be a Iraggi H.O alternator, 2nd red top, alumapro 5 farad C.A.P, wind or hampster powered generator, or what? I've been set on a new alternator and cap w 0 gauge to the sub amp (right now the cheesy ebay 200a alt and 1f cap suck bad, only running 1200rms), but as always, I'm totally open to any suggestions. Like I said - the only things in stone right now are the subs and 3 amps. If things keep going this way, this'll be a stevemeadedesigns.com forum built Suburban of face pounding craziness, at least I hope so. Late.............Pat
