  1. I'm pretty sure dude has some issues... Like mental disability or brain injury type thing.
  2. n8 brings up a valid point there.. And even tho I'm definitely interested in a rental program, I can't see it working out on your end cody... As much time and thought that you put into doing up a solid rental agreement, there will be 100+ scammers putting even more time and thought into how to exploit it...
  3. I've had "fabricator block" for the last 24 hours... Complete with a migraine. Finally after a trip to Menards and Home Depot I think I might be on to something..

  4. What happens when an car/audio enthusiast isn't worried about throwing it in anyone else's face..? When they do not want to make their presence known to everyone around them..? What if instead they enjoy being unsuspecting to the more common "loud" enthusiast So it is that much more satisfying to watch how silent they become as their supposed awesome rocket ship is beat by what appears to be nothing more than a common daily commuter!! This is what defines my "s...

  5. Went ahead and purchased, and with results like this out of the box, I must say looking forward to running more XS Power in the future. XS FTW!!!
  6. Thank you for the response Nathan. That is awesome news, and that seals the deal in my mind! XS FTW!!
  7. Had a minute to look it up and I do see the 3400 has the same cca as my current battery and if agm is better, I shouldn't have any issues. (Knock on wood) Thanks again guys!
  8. Haha upping to 14v system has def crossed my mind a time or 2. Just not sure if the juice is fully worth the squeeze so to speak for this build. I'm looking into and doing some research on the ultra caps too.. From what I've read they look extremely promising. But I'm kind of noob when it comes to that... (Always thought caps were a waste) That's not a bad idea either... Ideally I would like to not have to use anything like that, but extreme weather calls for some extreme measures sometimes. Lake Superior is not friendly with us in the winter. 30+ mph winds and -60+ degrees with windchill at times. (Yea I question why I live here too) lol
  9. Yup that's what I'm thinking, cramming or modifying so I can fit a 3400 and I-bar (I can't remember if it was the 975 or 925 that is recommended, but I know I'd need a secondary battery if I went that route). But even with a 3400, would I see starting issues at -20+ degrees? We get extremely cold and frigid in winter here, and although car is mainly garaged at home, I just don't want to end up stranded. (This is my DD) Thanks in advance for your help
  10. I have a 2005 chevy malibu 2.2 ecotec, I live in northern Minnesnowta lol. I'm going to be upgrading my starting battery with an XS.. (Either 925 or 3400) But I've noticed the cranking amps on the XS is lower than my current regular battery... So I'm wondering if that will have a negative impact on cold daily start ups in our frigid winters. Thanks in advance
  11. Oh yea, I agree with you then.. I don't like them either. What's your flavor? I like mainly ales... Browns, pale, some IPAs, and then porter/stouts. I can drink just about anything but those are the ones I'll order or buy.
  12. It really depends on what and how much you plan to brew and how sophisticated you want to get.. There are complete home brewing kits you can buy ranging from around $100 and up. I'm not a home brewer, I'm technically not even a brewer, I just started helping and learning brewing at the brewery I bartend and manage. It's brand new in 2012 so it's a state of the art system and everything is computerized, my brewing knowledge goes as far as which button to push and when lol.
  13. Are you talking bitter beer like IPAs or actual sour mash beer? I'm starting to come around on IPAs.. I like certain hop varieties. But as far as sour mash beer goes... Yea I agree, it's pretty efffin gross. Stinks up the entire brewery when you make it too!!
  14. The previous answers are right on and should help ya find craft brews local to you. I def recommend going craft if you like beer and don't mind spending a tiny bit more per pack/bottle (IMO it's totally worth it for real ingredients and actual flavor in the beer lol) But technically speaking it's any brewery that produces less than 3500 barrels (barrel=2 kegs) a year is considered a microbrewery or "craft beer" Usually come in 6 packs of bottles or a growler (64oz jug).. Sometimes 12 packs and I've even seen cans on occasion but it's not very common You'll love some, hate others, but it's kind of fun to taste new flavors and styles. And some get high up there in Alcohol % too. We have a Belgian Tripel that's 9.7%. You ever tried barley wine? Yup, we just had one on cask not too long ago.. Not really my thing.. I can usually handle a couple tastes just to get flavor profile, but i couldn't do a whole pint. Tho i did like it on tap more than cask. Those suckers pack a punch too tho if you are into those. Most are 9%+ I'd have to know what you and your car look like lol It'll be awhile before I make it to any big out of state shows... But I'll post some pics so if any of you happen to be going too
  15. Not sure on what car shows/competitions allow liquor or beer but I plan on bringing at least a few growlers of our beer to every show I go to. Sooo if you ever see me at a show, you know where you can try some SMD community

  18. Internet is kind of the way of the world these days... Companies/shops have to adjust their business models accordingly or they will not be able to compete in the long run. Just ask blockbuster.. Even best buy who closed 1000 brick n mortor stores recently. Even "the big boys" are not immune... It's the entire retail industry... Glad companies like sundown have taken this into consideration, and offer incentives and a plan for their dealers.. Mark of a great company!
  19. I see your point and agree it's the principle in the matter, but that'd be tough to walk away having drove 160 miles round trip twice... If the sa12s continue their popularity, I'd be willing to bet they'll cost $220 even online in the next year or so. They were only $169, 6 months-year ago. Hell they were 189 like 2 months ago. You could always wait til Black Friday. $133 shipped on Amazon last year. Hahaha!
