  4. don't put in the seperate sub... its not a good idea to mix subs and or have different sizes. just run the two 12's.are the 6x9s going in the rear? are you able to bandpass the mid amp? are you running a cross over for the midrange and tweets, or are they going to be active? just a few good questions.
  5. I had a devil ex-girlfriend, that wnt crazy, attacked me, flipped it around, came up with a doosy of a story, any how,, she also sued me and won...
  6. What... I can't even getone person? Damn!
  7. Hey everyone. We are going to be holding another BASS compitition in Wisconsin Rapids soon. It will take place at Moblie Link, most likly in the early part of September. I will be doing clinics through-out the day, as well as SPL readings. We are also bringing in Memphis Car Audio products. What I would like to know, is if there is anyone that would be interested? If there are any qusetions, please feel free to ask. I don't have a date set yet, just putting the word out, as a "heads up" ind of thing. We could also use this as an opertunity for demos and a meet of sort.
  8. This is just a piece of advice you can choose to use it or not... Math and numbers are good and box programs also, but you can design and plan all you want, it will give you a good start point and an idea of what will work and what won't, but if you are really set on doing numbers, your ARE going to wast wood. I would first maybe use a single 10", in the design you want to use. Find your vehicles freq. Try moving that box around, forward and back. You are gong to have to rebuild a few times. but don't think that one design is going to be the first and best. Just be paitent. I found after time, I was trying to use to much cone area for my vehicle. I was only 2.2 dB less, with almost 500 inches less cone, 600 fewer watts, and 4 less volts input. I tried diferent setups, and finally stuck with one, that works with all my different drivers in the same vehicle. All I can say is good luck.
  9. unless you are planning on or have some sort of time alingment, i would recomend not running dash and kick components. one or the other. Otherwise you will hear things at different times unless its not a big deal. but I would run a three way comp set with crossovers unless you are planning on going active. but a three way set up middbass in door with 4 or 5" midrange and tweet in dash or kick. if in the kick, you could add a silk tweet in the dash to help bring stage hight up. or even a 4" coax in the dash with a midbass in the kicks. good luck
  10. I know you don't want to spend a lot of money, but be smart about it. If you spend just a bit more, get better than the cheppist equipment. Do a bit of research on your own. get a few different setups together. Then, decide the bet way to go. I went BIG the first time, spent a lot, then went smaller and almost as loud. Could have spent a lot less money, if I did better reserch i could have saved 5grand. If you get the cheapist, your going to have problems, then spend money to fix it. Good luck. There are a lot og people here that will help out and sell better equipment than if you go elswhere.
  11. polish the edges of the plexi, drill small holes, insert leds, mount your amp to it, make a small arm to support it at an angle, it will look like its floating if done right. good luck.
  12. acctualy, the fourth one down is blue. all of these Rolex look great, but I don't want a black one, and yeah I'm not to hot on yellow gold, but this watch does look good. how does a gallixy phone have anything to do with watches, and I don't think Rolex makes a skull watch, if they do, i dont want one...
  13. So I finally decided to buy a new watch, and I have narrowed it down, but now I just dont know. Help me decide please. Here are the options.
  14. yeah, ima send it back once i get the port figured out. i glued it, but i think it should be reconed, because i am going to work this little sub, and i guess it should have a solid suround on it.
  15. sofar best sount i've gotten, was with the mid-bass in front door, mid and tweet in kick with a silk dome tweet in the dask. with just a tweet in the kick, it pulls down bad, so you have to have a tweet up top because of the dash over hang. this was better than my current setup in the a-pillars.
  16. come on... somebody say something.... "something" ha ha, I figured I would get that out of the way.
  17. yo that junks is bad ass, can you build me a custom box like yours?? j/k man. hey you have to start somewhere. easy tip... I usualy get my wood cut at home depot, and get it cut a half inch over what i need and trim it right on the table saw when I build. that way i know the cuts will be on. I used to get the whole sheet and bring it home, and cut it up, but its easier to just get it cut up smaller to get home easy, then make final cuts. you can do basicaly this with a skill saw and a straight edge and a few clamps. good luck with it.
  18. OK, I give up on the sub setup.... but now, i am working on the dash. do i keep the a-pillars, or go ahead and put coax threes in the dash, and leave midbass in doors, or just keep it as is... input welcome.
  19. it sounds ok, not great. I am losing my touch. Its the damn port noise, a lot of flutter out of the port. what can I do?
  20. Nothing? really, no coments? come on somebody.
  21. vulnerable, yes, but I think I am going to make a poly-carb grill to protect it, or, just order one from DD. oh, heres one more,
  22. well, i was almost ready to listen to it. but then. THE DRILL SLIPPED, AND THE TIP WENT THROUGH THE SURROUND. Damnit, well i am trying to find some glue. but ..... sweet the phone just rang, i found the glue. here are some pics of final product. what do you guys think?
  23. ok, so I been doing some work, got primer on, got it sanded, got it in paint about 30 mins ago. I thought I would also make a little trim panel to go on the face of the enclosure, just to help tie it in. her are a few pics. sorry, i took em with my phone, in a rush. ok no i am going to wash the paint off my hands. let me know what you think. I will get up some photos once its in the truck, obviously. also any coments on anything else i could do, or just in general.
