I don't see the point in people being asses to new members. Just because they may have misinterpreted a rule doesn't justify it.

  6. Ok thanks. Yeah I understand that the RMS wattage is BS..... its got 5-30 amp fuses so I figure if I run each sub at 1 ohm I might be able to get 1600-1800W out of each amp if im lucky on a 1 ohm load. Thanks for the help
  7. I was going to post a picture but couldn't figure it out. can I strap this amp? I don't see a strap in or out on it. Its a SPL gla1-6000D. Its a cheap amp but if I can get atleast 1k out of each amp that's perfect for me
  8. So set one amp to Master other amp to slave? Run RCAs from line out to line in. Tune Master amp only and as long as the 2nd amp is in slave mode its setting have no effect? Sorry im new to strapping also, so im trying to learn. thanks for the help, much appreciated.
  9. So help me here. I got Master/slave and Input and lineout, how do you go about doing this?. when strapping and matching gain I thought u need a volt meter and have to check the voltage on the pos and neg on each amps speaker terminals to make them match?
  10. I just finished building a single chamber enclosure for the 2 subs. Its not recommended to do 2 amps with 2 subs in a single chamber enclosure. A lot of factors come into play I would rather keep it simple and do 1 amp.
  11. :(I know im starting to wish I went with 4 ohm DVC subs and just ran them on a 1 ohm load
  12. Hey guys. So im looking for a decent amp that can put out a "TRUE" 2k on a 2 ohm load or something close. Im hooking up 2 soundstream splx-122hf subs 1k 2ohm DVC. Thanks
  13. yes I am on a budget. lol But when im ready to wall the backseat I will consider that Dc5k
  14. Ok thanks for the input. I guess i will go without batteries for now until i get something bigger. Thanks
  15. Well I have been big on Massive Audio for along time and now a friend is trying to switch me over to Soundstream which im not real familiar with. So Your saying no extra batteries are suggested for this?
  16. 2 seems like overkill and having more power then less I know is always better but idk that's why I am here asking. That d3100 battery is a beast it looks like. I will eventually be going to a Soundstream amp TA1.3000D. 3000W @ 0.5 ohm load.
  17. So I currently have 2 soundstream SPLX-122HF 12" 2 OHM DVC 1000W RMS subs. Im hooking up a SPL GLA1-6000D. 2500W @ 2 OHM load. Until I get a amp that is stable at 0.5 OHM load. I currently have stock alternator 80 amp output. 1AWG welding cable Pure copper OFC.( Good about 250 Amps ) Did the big 3 with it ( besides the alternator ) and ran back to trunk. So im wondering what everyone recommends for extra batteries until I upgrade the alternator. My friend is telling me I need 3 blockshaker 12V 80 AH (1800W) batteries? This seems overkills to me? What do you guys think?
