  1. Saw it on wimp.com a while ago it was like 14 minutes long but entertaining. It's almost like they really are robots
  2. That box is crazy solid. Nice clean work. I can't wait for my tenderoni to come back to hook up her ride with a couple 8's. I already have it planned out. Post vids when it's done if you can.
  3. Yo, talk like that will get you more than kicked off chat. Just sayin' But look instead of just jumping in the convo ask to ask a question or start a thread in the appropriate area mr audio builder
  4. It's the same size belt. When I put the alts in and the new belt I had to skip a pulley to get it on.
  5. I ended up putting the old belt back on the way it's supposed to go. Since it's about a year old and broken in.
  6. That's what I'm doing but if I get a bigger belt than the one I was given with the kit I'm afraid the belt will slip once I put a load on the alts
  7. Any easier way to get this damn thing on. Close up of where I got it. This is the only place I could slide it but I'm doing it alone. Any suggestions. There's no way itll go on a grooved pulley. I still can't get it on even with the tensioner cranked all the way down. I'm at the hobby shop on base and it closes in an hour. Help my fellow SMDers
  8. She didn't really like my system before but now she wants one. I can't wait to start her build. I have so many ideas.
  9. I also got a new dash bezel, right side battery tray and set of a-pillars for my tahoe. She motivated me to get back to my project.
  10. Gifts from my ruca! Damn I love this woman. Rainbow 4" SLX deluxe components Rockford Fosgate T600-4 She also ordered me 50^2 feet of Audiotechnix sound dampener
  11. Check out my tahoe build my box has the same kerf only sub cut outs face up. You got those thangs movin' all sexy like a belly dancer lol. What's it tuned to?
  12. Shit, extended exposure still can't be good for the "Y" chromosome. A chest X-ray is a split second. Time to get the iodide ready. Damn auto correct
  13. Listen to n8. He's right. Plus with all the other stuff on top of that I can't reallythink of a range that'll let you do that. And doing that shit in the woods is not safe. I still get nervous when I'm training but it's good cause it reminds me how much I respect the weapon even though it's my bread and butter.
  14. Crawl, walk, run man. First go to a gun shop and handle a few different shotguns and see what feels best for YOU. You have a lot of choices out there between semi auto and pumps. Then once you find something you like and in your price range practice. Take it home and diss. and ass. That mamma jamma til you feel very comfortable with it. Then practice loading and unloading prcedures with dummy rounds. After you know your new gat take it to the range. Start off with a stationary target on a bench or standing and bust off a buck of shells. Take it home clean it and oil it. Then later you can practice presentation drills in the standing, kneeling and prone on another stationary target set at about 10-30 yards. Then learn IA (immediate action) and reload drills incase of any stoppages and learn how to clear them and to get you weapon back in action. From there you can move on to multiple targets and different distances. Once you get the hang of that then you can start the sexy stuff like firing while closing in (walking), moving to "cover" and firing from it and eventually running from point to point and firing along the way. This takes a lot of time and practice. You say you're new so you gotta start off with the fundamentals (WEAPONS SAFETY, marksmanship and proper weapons handling)
  15. I need to start stockpiling ammo myself. Once I move out of the bricks I'm gonna get some reloading equipment and make some mad scientist rounds
  16. Sony xplode "1000" watt amp when they first came out.
  17. No I don't yet. But I do have a set I havent installed in the doors yet but they are 2ohms but the same concept should apply. I'm gonna have to check that out.
  18. Better quality component x-overs should include a zobel circuit which irons out impedance matching problems, potentially allowing you to run 2 sets of components off one channel of an amp. Then I'm kinda tempted to try it out when I decide to put together my front stage. Thanks again gents for the input.
  19. Thanks for the input guys. It just goes to show there's always something to learn. Man I feel like such a noob cause the concept is pretty basic but I don't know anything about crossovers or how running them in parallel would effect the components. Running a pair of 4ohm (final load) components per side in parallel at the crossovers so one wire goes to each corresponding side of the front channels
  20. Roger solid copy. I'm using 12g wire for all my components. So then running the jumper at the outs of the crossovers and one wire per front channel is ok sending a 2ohm load to the amp? Or sending a wire from each crossover to one channel still creating a 2ohm load. It just seems like the same thing except one uses less wire and I wouldnt have to try and stuff 2- 12g wires in each front channel.
  21. Isn't it pretty much the same thing minus the extra wireusing a + jumper and - jumper to the crossovers?
