  1. I'm starting to feel that way also... It was my first Rockford amp. Probably my last...the fact sonic is not an authorized Rockford dealer makes me wonder about the warranty some.
  2. give them time.... Im pretty sure you are not the only one with a warranty and return. BE happy dude its been sitting 3 days. Be happy? That my hard earned money I spent on this product that is bad. Not yours! Do you work for sonic? If not well.....
  3. Sent in a Rockford two channel that has a bad left channel. You can easily tell with music playing that the left channel is much less powerful than the Right.. I checked with a dmm and the left was almost 4 volts less than the right channel... I have seen amazon reviews that four others have had pretty much very similarly problem with the left channel... I bought the pre paid shipping label from sonic sent it back its been 3 days they have had it now and I have heard nothing. They respond to my emails but still no clue on what's being done...
  4. most people have said I won't be able to tell the difference, its looking like a gamble on doing that.. But I also see your point also...just taking my time trying to get the pros and con's before I commit..
  5. My voltage is holding steady at 13.6 to maybe 13.1 at the lowest drop. As I said I have a stock alt with big 3 done with knu 1/0 ofc and a xs power d4800 up front and a stinger 10f hybrid cap in rear.
  6. The scv 2000 would be awesome but I can't fit a larger size due to space on how my install is... If the scv line can put out more wattage with less voltage going with the scv 1500 I should get more wattage correct? But would that wattage even be noticeable?
  7. Running a saz 1200d on two SA d4 12's now.. Stock alt 95 amp with a xs power d4800 under the hood.. I see the new scv 1500 is the same size and price that the saz 1200 was ... So leaving me to wondering would I even benefit from upgrading to the scv?
  8. system is two kicker ZX1000.1's on four kicker CompR 12's rms in a 1.75 cu per sub ported box. subs rms is 500. alt is stock with a yellow top up front and a Kinetik HC 2400 in the back... would the 40hz -10db track 5 be ok to use? i dont play decaf or chopped, just reg store bought cd's , itunes.
  9. So anyone with a sa12 or could help, where would be the best crossover setting? Car is a TC, amp is a sundown saz 1200d . listen to manly hip hop. I have a smd cc1.book says on 12's 100hz because amp has a 24ddb crossover. Just seems a little to high to me.
  10. The x will definitely get low. The sa's are no joke plus with two sa 12's more surface moving! You cant lose whatever you choose with a good sundown sub....
  11. I have a saz-1200 on two sa-12's in a 4.0 cubic box tuned to 34hz sounds good. Sq and spl are top notch. Of course the subs would have a little greater spl with more power but im happy with it...
  12. werd.. with that slope, id do 26with something lower, maybe 28 ish.. but around that, golden. That said, if OP is truly TUNED where he thinks he is.. (you would be more than surprised) if he is truly tuned where he thinks he is....... Thats said, imho, id run the gear, and adjust to it. Just pen and paper,..... meh..... my amp has a 24db slope and does fine at 30hz now so lower it? 26hz?
  13. Im set at 30hz on the filter now with the smd cc1. Should that be good or drop lower?
  14. I have seen where incriminator audio recommends setting the subsonic filter to 1 to 2 hz below tuning. And sundown says 1/3 octave in my case would be 29hz .. just wanting the best sound and a safe setting for the subs.
  15. Ok ive seen a lot of debate on where to set the ssf. My box is tuned to 34hz. My amps ssf is a 24db slope. . I have heard set it 1/2 octave, 1/3 octave , one or two hz below tuning or even right at box tuning. .. so whats the best bet? Im using a saz 1500d amp.
  16. When i set the amp i set the remote gain control at maximum. I know the dd1 manual says set it half way.would that be hurting anything?
  17. So -10db your at say 90% chance of clipping on most any music? I dont understand how the -10db is a staple as a compromise then.
  18. I set with the -5db and just wanted the most out off the amp with clean power i have always seen on steve's dd1 videos he uses the 40hz -10db on sub amps regardless of what subs are going to be used.
  19. Ok so just set a friends saz 1500 on two x12's. I set the amp using the dd1 with the 40hz -10db track. Now just playing regular hip-hop the amps remote has a clipping light and its blinking on every hard bass hit. Should we turn down the gain use the track -5db? Idk how accurate that clipping light is.

  21. Ok so I had set my gain on my sundown saz-1200d with the dd1 on track 3 only thing I set my sub sonic at its max all the way up.. now after seeing that the manual and others says set it at its lowest setting would that make any difference? Should I reset it with it all the way down?
  22. If your just seeing a blink randomly from clipping probably not hurting anything, but if its staying red for seconds or constantly red back it off. You might have an electric problem.
  23. Wait for the SA 18 thats coming out soon.. im getting two to put on two kicker zx1000.1 in my suv. Should get low...
