warranty slow turn around time!
tbeats replied to tbeats's topic in Sonic Electronix - Great Selection Great Prices
I'm starting to feel that way also... It was my first Rockford amp. Probably my last...the fact sonic is not an authorized Rockford dealer makes me wonder about the warranty some. -

give them time.... Im pretty sure you are not the only one with a warranty and return. BE happy dude its been sitting 3 days. Be happy? That my hard earned money I spent on this product that is bad. Not yours! Do you work for sonic? If not well..... -
Sent in a Rockford two channel that has a bad left channel. You can easily tell with music playing that the left channel is much less powerful than the Right.. I checked with a dmm and the left was almost 4 volts less than the right channel... I have seen amazon reviews that four others have had pretty much very similarly problem with the left channel... I bought the pre paid shipping label from sonic sent it back its been 3 days they have had it now and I have heard nothing. They respond to my emails but still no clue on what's being done...

recommended sub(s) on saz-1200
tbeats replied to gmoxley1's topic in Sundown Audio - GREAT Amps/Subs! GREAT Customer Service!
The x will definitely get low. The sa's are no joke plus with two sa 12's more surface moving! You cant lose whatever you choose with a good sundown sub....- 10 replies

I have a saz-1200 on two sa-12's in a 4.0 cubic box tuned to 34hz sounds good. Sq and spl are top notch. Of course the subs would have a little greater spl with more power but im happy with it...- 10 replies

werd.. with that slope, id do 26with something lower, maybe 28 ish.. but around that, golden. That said, if OP is truly TUNED where he thinks he is.. (you would be more than surprised) if he is truly tuned where he thinks he is....... Thats said, imho, id run the gear, and adjust to it. Just pen and paper,..... meh..... my amp has a 24db slope and does fine at 30hz now so lower it? 26hz?

When i set the amp i set the remote gain control at maximum. I know the dd1 manual says set it half way.would that be hurting anything?
-
So -10db your at say 90% chance of clipping on most any music? I dont understand how the -10db is a staple as a compromise then.
-
I set with the -5db and just wanted the most out off the amp with clean power i have always seen on steve's dd1 videos he uses the 40hz -10db on sub amps regardless of what subs are going to be used.

Ok so just set a friends saz 1500 on two x12's. I set the amp using the dd1 with the 40hz -10db track. Now just playing regular hip-hop the amps remote has a clipping light and its blinking on every hard bass hit. Should we turn down the gain use the track -5db? Idk how accurate that clipping light is.

Sundown clipping light

If your just seeing a blink randomly from clipping probably not hurting anything, but if its staying red for seconds or constantly red back it off. You might have an electric problem.
