Something had to have broken in that rear end or something crazy for it to pop up like that. Will be interesting to see what the cause was.

I run my SD-2 8 in a .3 box on a Skar 500.1 and it takes it all day long. Amazing sub. Nobody believes it is a single 8 in a box that small. Goes low (well for an 8 anyhow), gets loud, and stays clean. Really all I could want in a sub. But now I want an SD-3...

The details are where it is at. Love the color matching of the switch box. It's exactly right.

Got a weird double post so I'm editing this one. One of the other things I love about Sundown is just how incredible they are across their whole line. They don't phone it in or cut corners anywhere. Even entry level stuff is built to run long and hard. And they eat up power all day long. Every rating is short of capacity. Under promise and over deliver.

I run a Sundown SD-8 in my regular cab Ford Ranger and it is mind blowing what these guys put into a sub. In a .3cube box I get as much bass as I want, and I'm only feeding it 140ish watts from an old RF Punch 40xi. These SA's put out even better than my SD (though not in the tight spaces). Hearing a pair of these getting 300-400 watts each will astound you. 8's should NOT sound like this. Yet they do. I don't care how much more $$ they are than regular 8's, they're worth every extra penny and then some.

4884. I understand they'll run @ 1ohm for a bit, but most of these amps don't like it unless modded for the long term. Solid amp regardless.

What's that box setup tip the scales at? Put four fat guys in front and you'll need beefier suspension!
