thats the perk abour t he gm maf and translate you can run astmosperic and be perfectly fine.. it will adjust fuel accordingly

it has the gm maf translate.. he can run it atmosperic (sp?) it automatically adjusts air fuel ratio dont worry about it

jack that side up.. get under it.. lock steering wheel.. twist wheel left and right like your turning the truck.. look for play on the tie rod end or wheel bearing. then put hands at 12 and 6 o clock and try and rock the tire in and out.. look for play at bottom ball joint and wheel bearing or your strut.. i assume it has a strut.. then try and push wheel forward and back with hands at 10 and 3 o clock and look to see if the suspension arm moves

the reason why i didnt mention this before is cause he said it kinda died slowly.. whereas my buddys vic died instantly.

hmm i wonder if ford trucks have the same thing as ford cars.. if you get rear ended it cuts power to the fuel pump.. in my buddys crown vic everytime the bass hit it would stall his car out and we would have to reset the switch .. so we bypassed it get your manual out sean

fuel filter will still allow the car to start momentarily and it will allow the car to idle.. its when you try to drive it will cause it to die..because it cant source enough fuel.

you can still crank the car? i thought you couldnt... if you can crank the car and it wont start thats a different story.. crank your car for a good ten seconds.. then pull a spark plug to and smell it for gas.. if theres gas you got no spark if theres no gas then you have spark but no gas.. or worst case senario your timing chain broke. open your oil filler hole on the valve cover and have somone crank your car while you look in there for moving parts.. if the rockers arent moving.. boom timing chain.

or go buy a lifetime alternator from autozone. then return your broke one two weeks later as the one you bought then you have two stock alts.. add the amperage together.. woot!!

take a volt meter and check the voltage of the batterys.. put them on charge.. and try and start your car.. then recheck voltage while running if it isnt 14 or higher than it isnt charging..
