well i still have my recipt from my old vmaxs .

i dont know.. shouldnt really be that much the sub was givin to me. so im not sweatin it.. if i get i replaced for free ill probably just give it some lucky chap

the magnet came unglued from the top ring.. the top ring is still in place with screws.. and the pole peice is still in place. im probably just gonna send it back to cerwin vega

thx for the quick reply.. it wasnt crutial that i get it fixed.. its a whopping 100 dollar woofer i just thought it might be fun to try and repair it.

well i had a cerwinvega vmax 15 layin around that some kid said that he blew.. so he gave it to me.. well checking the coils.. they were still around 4 ohms.. so upon further fidgiting. i found that the magnet busted loose.. so i pulled it off and the voice coil is still intact.. and suprisingly the former and pole peice are anodized black. which i thought was nice.. not to mention the magnet is double stacked. but i was dissapointed to see that the magnet was just glued onto the ring thats between it and the basket.. so heres my question.. can i repair it? what adhesive do i use? i can cut the dust cap off and roll up some construction paper on the inside to space the voice coil off the pole..

i was preety impressed with a standard stroker(not the pro) .. both the 12 and the 15 id say the 12 is easily up there with the jl w7..

yeah.. i felt that the vmax's sound was alot better and more controlled than the cvrs.. i do know that the vmax's have dual 7.5 progressive spiders and a 2.5 inch voice coil.

i was really impressed with the vmax line over some kicker cvrs.

well he has to ship em back anyhow... its worth a try... if it works cool if not who cares..

couldnt you just have him ship it back insured. and then say it was broke upon arrival? open it right in front of the mail dude and refuse it (you have that right )

what are you lookin to spend adn where are you located ? partial to 15s???

if that dont work just make a bead of clear caulk around the indside of your screw holes.. use your finger and flatten it out a little bit.. and make it uniform.. let it setup and dry before you reinstall the woofer.. should seal really good.

cerwin vega vmax dual 7.5 inch spiders 2.5 inch voice coil 17mm of xmax.. reliable. clean.. and stays nice and cool.

although they are overpriced seeing all that excursion never gets old. thats for damn sure.. ever run like a 20 hz test tone through it ?
