Yea thats true too. With only 16" of hight, you would have to mount the sub on the top of the box. It wwould work but i think two 12" Q's would be great as well.

After hearing this i just ordered me one from the same seller. I hope it works out good. It says it comes with software so im asuming that you just connect the mono rca from the sensor to your mics input of a computer/laptop and use there software to convert the input voltage to Db's. Im sure its not gonna tell you the freq. but it is still way cheaper then a TL

Well for now it would be 1600 rms, the same amp that i have on the two L7's? So your saying even though the MT is a way better sub, it wont be as loud since it has less cone area?

Ok well currently i have two 12" Kicker L7's in 5 cubes ported tuned to 38Hz getting 750 RMS each. I plan on buying one of Rays 18" RE MT's. I will eventualy get another but for now just run the one by itself. My question is, with the same amount of total power, in general, will the RE be louder than the two kickers even though the square area of the subs is larger then the round area of the 18? So basiacly my question is how does cone area affect spl? Thanks for the help

Quik question. I just got done building my first fiberglass door pannels and plan on painting them some type of blue. I plan on doing the picks and some other pannels in glass too. So if i stay with the blue theme and would want to paint some plastic parts of the car that i wont be glassing like parts of the door pannels and the center console. So my question is how should i go about paint stock plastic parts? Sant them down primer then top caot? Thanks for the help! Also what paint should i use for the fiberglass topcaot as well as the plastic? Any specail spary paint out there? Thanks!

Well i just got a kinetic 800 used off ebay for $85 shipped. I want to charge the battery befor i put it int he car but according to the kinetic site they say to use there charger or a special kinda of battery charger. Can i just a regualr 12v car charger? Has anyone else done it?
