  1. What are you selling the subs for, and what size/model are they? Err, are they gone?
  2. Lol, just takes time man. Don't be in a hurry. If you turn the dial slowly on the frequency knob, you should be able to tune it by ear. Just listen for what you want it to sound like, then boom, there you go.
  3. Does your HU have a built in crossover? If you changed the frequency on the amps and it sounds worse, just change the settings back to the way they were before.
  4. I'm in agreement with most people on this, get a new/different job. Last time I checked, the restaurant business didn't pay that much, which is why I don't do that anymore. I don't know how old you are, but you can work at any plant/warehouse like UPS, home remodeling store like Home Depot, or even Wal-Mart and make more money.
  5. If you have enough room for 1 or 2 more subs to be put in the box, then I know for a fact your box is too big. Get a smaller box, or if you happen to have enough room and don't mind considering this whole scenario as an L and a learning experience, then get (2) 12s or (2) 15s. What are they trying to sell you more of?
  6. I just checked out the specs and features of your head unit. How do you have the subwoofer amp connected? You only have 2 sets of outputs on that radio.
  7. Some rated at 12, 12.5, 12.8, 13.8, 14, 16, 17 volt. Best way if it's not listed and you don't know anyone with experience on a particular amp, then call the manufacturer or check their website.
  8. Your settings appear to be off for your highs. Turn the sub off/bass down, or unplug the RCAs to troubleshoot the highs. Turn the volume about half way up, and play with the settings on the amp until you get the sound you want. Don't mess with the gain, just the frequency settings on the amp. Does your radio have a built in EQ and/or crossover? I'm not familiar with Kenwood HUs. If so, scratch changing the settings on the amp and switch to full mode for the front and rear channels and set everything from the head unit. As far as your subs are concerned, like someone else stated, that box sounds WAY TOO BIG for (2) 10s. You probably won't get the punch you want until you get a smaller box. 10s can hit hard, really hard, if they're in the right box. P.S. Is this local retailer charging you money just to look at and "tune" your system when they did the initial install???
  9. Several questions... 1.)When you say not putting out sound like it should, do you mean volume, bass, or clarity? 2.) Measure your box and tell me what size it is-L x W x D. 3.) What do you have the settings on the amp at? 4.) Do you hear any distortion at all when you turn it up?
  10. No one from this forum went to Carlisle this past weekend?
  11. I would say the battery, also. Do you still have any car audio equipment connected? If so, could be voltage drops causing your computer system to go haywire. Happened to me.
  12. That's what I thought I read. These still for sale? I sent you a PM.
  13. I think I'm dyslexic, or retarded. Do you want $400 for the pair, or $800?
  14. Wow, still didn't post the year of the sub. This is turning into a classic thread.
  15. Thanks. Do you know the efficiency/spl rating and the recommended RMS wattage?
  16. Where are the specs for the Nightshades listed on your site? I don't see them anywhere.
