  1. I'm not a fan of the Vici's one pieve lower design that incorperates the trigger gaurd. I like the modular receiver and trigger group in the SBE. Otherwise both the Benelli's will serve you well. It either gets my vote with budget being teh deciding factor. Also I think the Vinci has more camo patterns available
  2. cheap insurance for sure. glad it was caught in time. Not to highjack the thread, but does anyone know if the remote turn on from the radio will pop the radio fuse if grounded out? that's the only unfused B+ in my system.
  3. It's a long answer but the bottom line is, yes you can be stopped on private property. Like I said, there is a lot more to this answer as it may deal with 4th amendment rights issues. Being on private property, be it your home, a parking lot, etc. Does not automatically grant immunity.
  4. I'm not gonna contribute into turning this into a right/wrong, legal vs. Illegal, Cops vs. Civilian thread. All I'm saying is that if you or your friends think they can interpret the law better than the sworn officer conducting the stop, be my guest. At the end of the day everyone can have their day in court. Again, good luck with that. Otherwise I stand by what I wrote and will leave you guys to whatever else you want to talk about. If anyone ha a direct question in regards to the law I will more than happy to answer it as if I were dealing with it at the scene. I hope everyone can avoid any unnecessary interactions with the law.
  5. 1) Stop being so fuckin paranoid 2) find the actual Aurora Ordinance. This one from Elburn, IL. Is so well written I could fuck with you if you used a power drill at night and I heard it. 3) your from Aurora, young and from the look of your picture Mexican. That's three strikes to any bad cop right there, your already guilty of something. 4) minor infractions like this are just a foot in the door to get a free peak inside the car to see what else is going on. If everything is on the up and up and you get a good cop, like it sounds you did, you get told to turn it down and have a nice night. 5) if I can hear your car, don't care if it's 10 watts or 10k watts, I pull you over and you get attitude or something else is wrong I'm gonna crawl so far up your ass your gonna taste my polyester uniform in your throat. 6) aurora is full of real crime. A cop isn't gonna give a rats ass about a kid with a loud stereo. You must have been respectful since you got off with nothing. Your boys talking about the "heat" already sound like the dumb asses that roll 6 heads deep at 2am. 7) find better friends no one has you in a data base. 9) we (cops) remember douche bags 10) most, not all, cops aren't in this to fuck with people. Were just doing our jobs too. So be mindful of any town, village or city laws that govern noise pollution. And please don't be mad at us, we don't make the law.
  6. Next step, take the old ash tray and make it house two old school Cyberdyne volt meters to monitor front and rear voltage among a couple other things to fit in there.
  7. ABS cutting skills are rusty. Guys at the shop I worked at would have laughed at me. More waves than the ocean but I think the average eye won't even see them. Better pics when I get a chance. Here's s quick vid for ya.
  8. Worked on the deck install this weekend. Flush mount DIN radio with 2 half din monitors making a double din flush mount install on a chevy cavalier. Start with a factory radio just to cannibalize some parts for a frame. From there just going slow and easy to get it looking good. Sprinkle some AbS for a nice trim piece and there ya go.
  9. Got some time last week to gut the car. These pics arent of something you havent seen already. Took it to the metal so I could run O gauge power, remote wire, 3 sets of RCA's, RDAT wire, 2 PSD-1 lines, rear volt meter wire.
  10. Stuck at work till 2am and it's 96 degrees outside :(

  11. All the pythons and king cobras are .357 mag except for a couple target .38spl only special runs. To get into .44 mag you have to go into the colt anaconda. Colt revolvers were based on snakes fir some time and are very collectible. I gave some that I shoot and others I just state at. I had a few 454's but ended up with a 500
  12. I dont generally get involved in threads like this because of posts like this. All I will comment on is the fact that you are responsible for all the rounds fired from your weapon. If you "miss" I hope you dont hit anything that may ruin your life, or someone elses. While CC is a right I think everyone should have, the highest level of respect should be given to that right as your actions and decisions to excercise it may have consequences that effect more than you. With that said I wish you luck on your paper. You have lots of info here to choose from.
  13. Look at the numbers I came up with! http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/142993-old-school-punch-40i-on-the-bench/page__fromsearch__1
  14. Never heard of the lights being the fuses. This is the BBQ grill style solid black amps
  15. What do yo mean by best for the gun? Your home defense gun should be reliable with whatever ammo you choose to put in it. With that said Winchester Lawman, Speer Gold Dot or Federal Golden Sabr ammp would be excellent choices. Hornady XTP and Cor-Bon would be worth looking into as well. 124gr bullets on all loads.
  16. The lock frame doesnt date this to pre 1994. The internal lock was introduced in 2001. I can tell from your picture tha this gun has the firing pin attached to the hammer which means it's a pre 1998 and the fact that it is not pinned and recessed means it was after 1982. The 686 was 1st introduced in 1980. Without the serial number we can saythis gun was made between 1982 and 1998! Just sayin' lol
  17. Ya, the weights in the underlug are removable if needed. Also I've looked into haveing some made out of tungsten too. It's ported as well so between the weights and that it tames 95% of all loads. It's a great hunting machine!
  18. Love it, 9mm in a 1911 platform is highly underestimated. The only thing I would do is verify functionality of the mags. That's always been the weak link in the 9mm 1911 platform.
  19. Here's my .44 backpacking combo. Not as light as yours but my crazy ass isn't running away from the bear I'd run toward him!!
  20. If you want a manageable magnum load for two legged critters that wear shoes and a mask try CorBon 165gr ammo. For dangerous 4 legged game 300+ gr bullets solid lead provide devastating penetration. Awesome light shoe out of a snubby like that too!
  21. lol, lets just say when I hit the range during our excersises everybody stops to see what I brought. Some of my personal items have been the basis for some chenges even being made. I am also a part of a training group and hold expert qualifications in both pistol and rifle. In other words, if your 100 yards or closer with a handgun or 1200 yards or closer with a rifle odds are you will get hit! haha
