Hey guys, Some of you know but I have been working with a company on producing a barrel camera for paintball markers. They gave me the go ahead to share videos on the net and such in order to gauge interest in the product. They are also sending me two more cameras this week in order to do further filming. Long story short they want to monitor the interest on youtube, so if you guys could go to the following links and post comments on the video’s it would be appreciated. Thanks! Hey guys don't know if you follow my other builds but I have a fiberglass layout currently in my Taurus with two MTX 7500 15"s. Well winter is coming and I want the boxes out so I dont have to worry about cracking and I am going to throw some MDF boxes together for the best SPL on music possible. I know how to tune and everything and each box I am aiming for 3 cubic feet. Now that is quite a bit for my trunk so I am thinking about and orientation of subs up, port up, aimed at the read shelf. I plan on removing the rear shelf speakers to allow the sound to pass through the package tray and load off the rear glass.... wanted to run that by you guys and get some opinions on the layout... my only other option is subs and port facing towards front of car in full back trunk (rear most in trunk)

Hey guys, I am putting two 12” MTX 5500’s in a GMC Envoy. (I know nothing crazy) They are being fed about 400 rms each and the box will be 2.5 cubic feet a sub tuned @ 38 Hz. I am trying to figure out what the best configuration will be for sound. I have done port back subs back in the past with good results but I see more and more port up subs up as well as port back subs up. In your experience what would you pick and why… Thanks! :hairtrick:

Pods all glassed Nice and semetrical Checking the fit Added some body filler Here is where the handle is to pull the door shut Some final filler work and holes cut for tweeters Comming along great, I am jealous they wont be mine!
-
Measure them out and mount em to the board using hot glue Now mount your rings using hot glue initially, then some CA or super glue Perfectly symmetrical Do the same for tweeter rings Looks great! There you go guys, hopefully they will be wrapped soon
-
Mounted the rings, here is how to do it perfect... Added some cardboard for a mounting base... Coil some paper up so it fits inside the rings and tape it Now place your ring at the angle you want Inscribe a line around the ring, now remove the tape and lay the paper flat Transfer this to another piece as a copy Here you can see they are the same and mirror copies

Made the plexi inserts today, here is a little tutorial First gather your materials: Router and router table Scissors Flush Trim Bit 3M Double Side Sticky Tape Plexi Glass Wooden replica of insert Shape Here is the flush trim router bit, note the bearing on top which rides the curve while the bottom does the cutting Put your double side tape on the template, this allows you to stick the template to the plexi glass thus preventing it from moving. Adjust your height of the router bit in order so that the bearing rides on what you want to copy. Looks good. You will note I left the protective covering on, this is important as it prevent scratches from appearing on the glass. (The blue tape is because the edge was pealing.) Begin cutting the plexi When you are done simply remove burrs with a lite file (If there are even any I had none). And separate the template from the plexi insert Nice clean edge Fits great!
