yeah. that's what i was thinking, instead of making a big-ass hole in the firewall and having a lump running down your floor.

should you always run them through the firewall then the inside ? if your using thick (1/0) wires why can't/wouldn't you run them from the battery under the car then through a hole on the trunk floor? they have thick insulation, just zipp tie or secure then along some thing already there, brake or fuel lines.

want to keep the $$ low. but i got a 100 mile daily commute so i like to have some nice tunes. plan on getting a deck with more power since i'm running the mids off it, bigger amp and yes another box (ported ?) ... keeping the same single 12. maybe another $500 to $600.

sounds decent, you can feel it, but it's only 300watts. feeling the need for more. alot more.

here's my first " custom system " in over 5 years. Best Buy Deck, MA Audio mids ( i've had in the garage for like 4 years), oldschool Earthquake amp, single Pioneer 12, monster cables... all together about $250... the mids and amp i already had.

hello. i'm john. i've checked out this site for a while ( steve does some amazing work)and just decided to join. i've always liked loud cars ( either motor or music ) but i'ts been a while since i've had either. anyways gas is killing me, so i got a little bucket to commute and am going with stereo work. i'll post some pics later. thanks.
