Here is my run of 0 gauge under the truck. I had some scrap alumunum laying around so I made my buss bars. I forgot to take a picture with all of the wires hooked up to it.

Here is the update from this weekend. I just need to wrap the bottom of the false floor with carpet and take care of a couple other loose odds and ends. First: Here is a shot of my head unit lit up. And on to the rest of the pics.

The blazer is good. I have had two S-10s before this. I wanted something with more cab room. I need to update the pictures of the truck. It currently sits on some 18" irocs. I've lowered it with coil overs in the front and lowered the rear. I also tinted the front Windows and got rid of the xtreme decal on the side.

The dowels stick up about a half inch into the baffle. The remaining 1/4" is filled with glue. On the inside there is a ring of glue around the dowel. This is only on the top baffle. The bottom is not set in like this. It is glued in place flush, and is screwed in place. It should be plenty strong. I feel this would be stronger than simply laying the baffle on top.

Here is some of my mess.

I decided to spray it with Flexstone. The charcoal should match the interior fairly well. The base of the false floor will be carpeted. I should have gotten better close up pictures of the texture.

I would have built the box bigger but I needed a spot for my spare tire. I decided to get a slim donut spare, getting rid of the full size spare that stands up in the back. The donut spare will sit under my box in a false floor.

What about a 15" DC Level 5? What you guys choose between, a FI BTL or Level 5?

DC 12" Lvl 4's suggest 1.5-2 cubic feet per subwoofer. I could go bigger if I needed to but I would prefer 3.5 cunic feet.

Ok so I have been wanting an upgrade from my (4) 8" Sundown E8's @ 1000w. I have about 3.5 cubic feet to work with. I will be buying a new amp soon. It will be around 2500w. Should I go with a 15" fully loaded FI BTL or (2) 12" DC Lvl 4's? I listen to a wide range of music and want this to get loud when I want it to. I tend to push my subs pretty hard at times. Suggestions? Opinions?

Well I'm trying to figure out my next setup that I plan to upgrade to soon. My current setup is 4 sundown E8's ported at 30hz @ around 1000w. I think I want to go back to a single 12 with more power (1500+) ported. I want a sub that will get loud but will also sound clean doing it. I listen to a wide variety of music. Ive owned both the FI 12'' SSD and the Q and would like to know how the 12'' level 4XL would compare to them. The amp I am looking at is the AQ2200D. This will be going into a 2003 ext cab S10. Also what type of power do most of you throw at these subs? Over 1500 watts?
