what the guys above said are right. also you dont get that much trunk rattle IMO.. i know how it feels when you build a box and its done to bump some beat then when you find out it sounds like shit.. right now i have a BIG ass box in 96 my intrepid on a DC level 4 15 tuned to 30hz and yeah it bumps but since i got my measurements mixed up LOL the box is i believe 36 wide and 40-42 inches long and the port is like right next to the trunk..also the port is preety huge too. so i get TONS of rattle..sucks bro..sorry for the long story.LOL.

so long story short i was going thru the thread "ATTN LOUD TRUNKS" and started to think on doing 2 15's or 1 15 ported to the rear deck..right now i have a (1) DC level 4 15 ported to 30hz in a 96 intrepid(trunk) yeah it bumps but not like i spected..plus i got ALOT of rattles in the trunk..so i want to eliminate that..so the ported in the rear deck got to me BAD so now i want to make a box ported to the rear deck but dont know where to start on the box. or how much space im going to need etc. i was thinking on cutting a squared whole on my rear deck lets say around 12 inches wide and 5 inches high..or if a small sized whole works than thats even better.. so i need alot of ideas and help. guys help a brotha out. dont gotta worry on electrical. its all under control the amps are wired and working great on my DC level 4 15.. dont have voltage drops or dimming. i did the big 3 added extra batts. so any help or idea would be apreciated.. thanks! dubie

cant anyone top having amps wired up on top of the other??.. meaning 4channel amp(top) bass amp(bottom) with no amp rack nothing.just the amps sitting on top of eachother.. but each amp had his own rca,power,ground,remote wire etc.?? one of my friends has his setup wired like that because he was running low on wires so thats the best thing he could do..LOL!!..ill try and get a picture in a little bit

now i understand steve..the last couple days i have been building boxes for some friends of mines and i gota say those saw's,jig saws,circle saw or whatever the name is.(forgot LOL) are no joke. those mofos gave me a little ring on both of my ears for 4 hours straight. so ear protection is neccesary. but anyways doors look sick steve!..cant wait to see it finished..

AQ amps have indicators in the bass knobs when the amp is clipping. i would just get a new amp that has it build in already. or who knows next thing you know you will try doing a "Home made indicator" and you fuck up the amp. dont risk the chances. just an FYI!

well i taught it was only neccesary when your running 14v+ setups to upgrade your alt but i guess not..for me the big 3 and extra batts has helped without upgrading my alt. i guess it sometimes it depends on your car etc also..my bad

around here in my neighborhood the blame all the "bass, shaking windows BULLSHIT" on me..yeah they know i work on systems and all that but dont bump in my house for testing purposes or nothing. i rather go to the park around here some blocks away and bump or just drive around the freeway and test it. but since other fags come bumping at my street from 2-5am they think its me..LOL. by that time my ass is already sleeping..then next thing you know cops come knocking at my door asking me why im blasting my music at that time. and me not knowing wtf is going on they still continue to ask after i tell them i was sleeping and crap. sometimes i gota wake up everyone in my house to get proof i was sleeping..LOL. i aint gonna lie i only did it 1 time i was blasting my shit(15 on 2k+rms) at my house for 1min getting ready for a party.yeah that shit was loud it was knocking bottles of vodka of the t.v(little bottles since i collect them LOL) so i guess i fucked myself for doing that. but its still bullshit i get the blame for other people....

just add a second batt and do the BIG 3 and you will be fine.. it is only necesary to upgrade an alt when your running 3-4k+ rms...or when you have major dimming issues

or you can make a box with a removable port so you can switch ports for a daily bump(28-30hz) and for comps put the other port(35hz+) and not have to take the whole box out unscrew the sub and etc..you get me?..it will be much more easier!

yeah. your getting the full amount of power without loosing nothing. like the bass knob that comes with the amp. as you stated. just set your gains, wire this knob and you wont have any problems such as clipping..just use it when you want some bass or for spl comps etc..

but wouldnt it had too much air space?..or would be perfect?.. i dont really get shit straight when it comes to enclosures..i get lost,confused..its like if enclosures own me..LOL..
