o scope really only helps when setting the amp gain (or output gain on the 360) what would help is an RTA but neither are necessary

i want to see what is modded to make it run at 18v. I had a T3k but sold it mainly due to size, money (i needed it) and the high voltage stability. So before i get another monster of an amp i want proof that it can take said voltages. If you don't want to post them for everybody that's fine pm me.

hey bangin good info in theory... half of those amps are built very solid and can handle such nonsense but that doesnt mean you can do so with all amps. you cant say well a rx-7 redlines at 9k rpm so my honda civic with a "tuner" and exhaust must be able to redline that high too right? bottom line dei doesnt equal fosgate stetsom sundown ect. if they did then people would be buying those amps and competing with them. But whatever do what you do... i work at a shop that repairs amplifiers so have fun bumping up those fuses and once the amp blows ill buy it for 10 bucks shipped... sell it for 80

its mainly all in the box.... but the speaker properties also determine how it sounds. no such thing as saying no matter what you do a 12 will be "tighter" then a 15. Ive had a direct comparison. my 2 RE XXX 15's sealed vs 12 W7 ported in a double baffle box built exact to JL recommendations tuned to 28. My 15s are hella punchier then the W7 was

However, a well designed vented box may have considerably lower distortion and higher dynamics than a sealed box because of the added SPL gained from the port without increasing the active driver displacement requirements true if you keep the volume low but once you turn it up this goes out the window. You dont have a sealed box and say oh i want a lil more volume throw a ported in there and it be the same. They are 2 different animals

sealed: smaller tends to have higher power handling and is unoffically tuned higher Bigger is unofficially tuned lower ported: bigger normally gets louder If your really looking for super deep and super tight you need a sealed box with some badass 12s or 15s. sorta like mine. Or possibly a transmission line if you can pull it off. Ported box isnt going to pull it off. On the flip side you dont get the extra spl out of the ported box and if your speakers wont play low naturally it wont be as deep
