i have them strapped right now 2 subs per linked pair ... used to be 1 sub per amp 4 hdc318s 1 300 amp iraggi alt (just found out about a sense wire and ran one to the battery (+) post last night with a 1a 200v diode inline 4 2608 brutus amps one maxxlink and one lil shuriken bt-100 thats been going strong for 3 yrs I just put bigger terminal screws on it and car went dead (battery probably never was getting charged as i had 6 0 gauges rigged on top each post) ive had this set up for three years...wanting to try something different I reconed 2 months ago used epoxy under and above the spider landing...I shortened my 38 hz port down to 34 hz (more excursion and im loving it) the epoxy i used during recone is holding up alot better than CA glue so far ...i think i can throw more power at em I know how to watch for clipping....

I have 4 brutus 2608s and a maxxlink that ive been running 3yrs now....getting bored with the setup and 4 Dual 2 subs Heres my evil plan.... I have the amps strapped and the manual says to not run them below 2ohms while strapped...well i know for sure they can as ive ran them at 0.5 each but not strapped I want to run all 4 subs wired into 1ohm total > into all 4 amps that are strapped 2x2.... to make things simple i tried to make a drawing with an online paint hope yall can see where im getting at basically one voicecoil at 1ohm (scratch that 0.5ohm i metioned in the pic).... 4 amps 2 pairs strapped into 1 coil thats 1ohm_ just wondering would the 2 added amps feed back into the first two? would the 1 ohm load split across all 4 amps? ....what problems could i be getting into doing this?... also i have jumper wires going from the (-) on the master into the (-) on the slave of each linked pair___ should i jump a wire from the other linked pairs (-) into the first when attempting this or leave them be and run 2 strapped pairs into virtually 1 coil???

is this box size okay for 4 18 hdc3s? or should i rebuild? someone told me rebuilding to 24 cubes will make a difference and that my current box is too small since they require 6 cubes a piece.... also im running 4 bxi 2608ds 1 bt80 shuriken batt 1 300 amp ho alt 2 runs of 0 +/- could my bass be sounding this way because i need more batt to feed my amps? i know i need more batt but my voltage doesn't seem to drop to hard...(according to the dash) so ive been putting off getting the other 3... my whole reason is because this setup is not creating the throat hurting pressure and air movement i intended ---so is this BOX, BATT or BOTH? Kranny my ports down the middle would that make a difference?

Ok i took the measurements of the box here goes _The Box_ 28" Deep 38" Tall 48" Wide _The Port_ 21" Deep ---(measured from where the port wall ends inside the box) 35" Tall ---(measured from inside the port) 9" Wide ---(measured from inside the port) and Its double layer 3/4 birch on all sides the port walls or double layered 3/4 too Whats the cube and tuning? its supposed to be 25 cubes and 36hz tuning let me know guys...

your correct itll be more than 1000 and id just rather wait and do the hdc3 install the right way... nvr mind im just gonna go head n get the 4 ssds til i can find time and loot to get the hdc3's in were talkn bout ease over labor::time::money___im still gonna get my hdc3s in this will just be temporary its better than nothn

ok ok ok i have 4 hdc3s dual 2 coppers and 4 bxi 2608ds....ill need 4 batts (thats a $1000) and 2 300 amp alts (thats another $1000) multiple runs of 0 gauge and box building material plus ill have to pay someone to build the box im looking at about $3000 id have to spend to get my hdc3's in and running happily.... wut i want to do is spend this $1000 get the ssd 18's since they're already in a box and drop them in as i already have one of the amps hooked up and its 1 ohm stable n doesnt hurt my electrical i cant run those 4 18" hdc3s on 1 amp wut i want to know if its a good buy at $1000 i can just drop them in and press play thats not the same case with the hdc3s... im ready for bass_-_ sorry i dnt have time to make my post clearer im drivn right now

yep been had them i just dont have batteries and alts yet and i dont have multiple runs of 0 gauge and bracing rods and money for birch all that other stuff all i have is 4 18s and 4 bxi 2608ds had it sittn in closet for a yr now (i know i fail) ive been BS'n this just seems like the easy way out until i can find time and afford the rest im just lookn for something to hold me till then im tired of ridn around and people taking me and my presence for granted out bassing me when ive been loud before im ready for bass again

1000 is not gonna hurt me like that itll just push my build back towards the beginning of summer....

is 4 18" ssds worth gettn for $1000 in box tuned to 34hz i was planning on buying these until i save up enough to drop in my hdc3 18's.... should i go ahead and get these or just wait save up and build for my hdc3 18's thats been sitting in my closet for a yr :-/ i want bass right now.... what i want to know is will i get loud with 4 ssds on around 2600watts rms (the box goes to 1 ohm final load) let me know something before i spend the last of my income tax on this.....

that massive amp your using sucks i know ive had that exact one and though i was doing something those 18s want way more power than it can dream of putting out change that first

hmmm im not sure but my dumb self put some pillow stuffin in my old enclosure with my 12's it took a lil bit more power and it seemed to make the box hotter inside (i used to stick my hands in front of the ports) i think its does something to the heating.....aaah i dunno im finna go back 2 sleep srry i couldnt be of help im hafl woek. ..zzz
