  1. please just go and download it.... lol... it will explain its self once you open it.. its a hell of alot better than REs calc... and most *experts* who have years of experience, would rather do it on paper than on this, but alot of people i know say its almost dead on with their calculations, i dunno who this *expert* was, but he prob never even used it
  2. and what issue are you having with tuning? if you are talking about peak frequency on termlab, thats vehicle peak, not the boxes tuning frequency...
  3. why would you put a 18 in 5 cubes before displacement? it was just an example.. i think with our max dimensions it will be aboout 7-7.5 cubes.. then 80 sq inches isnt 80 sq inches for a 18, lol its more like 112-120, which should be fine and hes laughing at the fact you said torres calc isnt really that good, considering its one of the best calculators around, but if you must, go to the 12volt.com and use theirs, but use theirs and torres and see which looks better lol
  4. why would you put a 18 in 5 cubes before displacement?
  5. torres box calculator... problem solved.. generic rule of thumb is having between 13-17 sq inch of port per cube...
  6. i would personally go with the lvl 5s, just because they are a shit ton harder to blow, so if for some odd reason your amp decides to kill its self and want to take the sub with it, it wont blow.. or will be really hard to blow it.. can you get the CP series RF? if so thats the route i would go between those 2 amps
  7. obviously that goes for you as well, since you JUST joined to swing off his nuts...
  8. i have no idea, but my turn signal socket came out of the housing, and got ripped off, so it was either no signal period, or these... i like these better LOL had that happen in my accord, also had the same style bumper lights. forgot to screw them in tight after replacing the bulb and when going over a train track it popped out, cough in the tire and pulled a sht load of wires with it ouch, yeah im glad my wires were tucked away and only the socket got ripped off lol
  9. i dunno if i should have said this earlyer but these are sq subs and are recomended to be ran in a 1cf sealed box for each woofer, not to be ran in a ported box, they can get loud in a ported box but need a big one the box i had them in befor was 2cf give or take tuned to around 36-38htz could i still run this box sealed or does the port displace to much room and only make box 1.4-1.5cf? but ya soundstream recomends u run them in a sealed box, might have to just run em sealed, can i get a 2cf common chamber box out of 24'' wide, 12'' tall, 11'' deep? torres calc says 1.3 cubes is what those dimensions give you
  10. i would just get the recommended specs, and use torres calc to build up the box with what you have to work with man... lets say each sub requires .75 cubic feet, then you would want 1.5 after displacement, so the box should be built to around 2 cubes before port, and should be around 1.5 after port, but the calc will tell you that the generalization of port area is generally between 13-17 sq inch of port per cube.. you have 64 per cube LOL
  11. and when you blow them, dont start a thread bitching about how they dont take power... but, AQ1200 would be perfect for them.. remember, just because they CAN take it in certain tests, doesnt mean YOU should put that much to them... way to many variables, and considering your asking about what amp you should get, you prob are still learning alot about car audio.. the people that have ran 900+ rms to them are really knowledgeable people and know tons of information. not trying to be a dick dude, but stay at the rms...
  12. fucking amen.... its like gun laws, lets take away everyones guns, so only the people who dont follow rules have them.. its stupid to penalize the people who are doing the right thing, because of the people doing the wrong thing.. if anything i say give people who are doing the wrong thing, harsher punishments... i bet that mother fucker who hit that family because he was driving under the influence wouldnt have been so likely to do that if we would chop his leg off for it...
  13. if so, you are tuned to 106hz with 1.21 net volume and you have 78 sq inch of port with 64.46 sq inch of port per cube.. your ported box is all fucked up lol
  14. oh i know how to, i just know red is illegal as hell here, and i dont want to draw any more attention to the walled integra than i have to.. LOL and its a hassle to replace these, im way to lazy for all that
  15. i have no idea, but my turn signal socket came out of the housing, and got ripped off, so it was either no signal period, or these... i like these better LOL
  16. you need the height, width and depth of the port, not just the width and depth lol
  17. cutting down the port = raising tuning, adding length to the port = lower the tuning... you have 1.67 before port displacement, whats the dimensions of your port? if you are using torres box calculator, its not exactly hard man LOL
  18. yeah, but hes asking the cone area of a 10...
  19. Damn, that's some shitty cone area, I thought it'd be more but whatever. you do radius x radius x 3.14.. its roughly 78 sq inches
  20. so i couldnt figure out why my turn signals were not working, looked at the fuses, and one was blown, so replaced that and now i have
  21. I decided to turn them into something useful, i still have issues with my turn signals, but ive had that before i made this change.. atleast this will be useful
  22. clip lights can be horribly inaccurate... i wouldnt trust them at all, get a DD1 or a oscope and see if you are clipping, only way to be safe..
  23. HTC inspire 4g, i love the HTC Sense UI they have with their phones, i have been really pleased with stock HTC thunderbolt, even rommed it, but went back to stock, it was just the tiny features i miss, i love the way it operates
