Wow nice looking amp...

GO with GTI... I would love to see more builds using those. You can throw a lot of power at them... iirc like 3x rms as long as it is clean. SQ will definately go to the gti, q, and icon.

Hmm I am thinking about getting two of these little guys for my 1500 crew cab. Not sure if I could fit a ported box behind the rear seats or underneath. It seems hard trying to fit two amps and a battery back there. Do they go pretty low? How's the sq? Also is it possible to get them with no logos on the cone? -
I wanna build a computer
Moti replied to PUNKYOU007's topic in Computer Talk - News, technology, advice
That is a link to a mobo. That kind of defeats the purpose of socket 1156. Paying around 300 dollars for a board for that socket is not worth it. Try to get one of the pro's or evos. -

I think you can get away with a Core i3 540 setup. -
Looks like that will be good enough for your needs. I am not a fan of re-badged parts also... but if you didn't overpay for anything that's a sweet config you have got there.

Anyone own a newer Vizio TV?
Moti replied to melonhead's topic in Off Topic - Random, Misc posts - the forum "Junk Drawer"
I think what he was trying to say is that a lot of the companies these days don't truthfully make their own displays. They get parts from here and there...slap them together... -

Vizio, Sony, etc are not equal... Some of the lower end sony's use the same displays as the vizios... but imo the background technology also matters... such as the various chips that control local dimming, etc Sony, Vizio, and a few other manufactures get their display's manufactured from the same company. @ OP Get the 55 inch led version I have heard nothing but good things about that model, I also saw one locally its hard to beat. I mean yeah it's not as good as a 5000 grand sony or samsung. But price to performance ratio it's amazing. -
New Apple iPad
Moti replied to Kranny's topic in Off Topic - Random, Misc posts - the forum "Junk Drawer"
The reason I am disappointed is because I was expecting a full blown tablet running OSX from Apple... This isn't that bad..but i don't understand why people are complaining that its not a phone too? Well maybe that's why apple has an iphone lol... From what I understand the primary purpose of this is a ebook reader and an ipod with more features. So people who are in the market for something like that get much more with this...the 10 inch screen is really nice if you want to watch movies on the road...HD youtube is a plus Its kind of something between a really good smartphone and a netbook.. Apple lifted the ban for voip apps on the iphone and ipad...so you could skype on it if you wanted to I wish it had a built in camera since they just lifted that ban...you could use it to video chat -

Doesn't matter which one you go with. I am sure the earthwatts will be more than enough for your setup. I have an 500 watt earthwatts in one of my rigs, really solid. At the end of the day these major players get their psu's designed by the same company. Plus then you will have one extra psu lying around, the sonata case w/ that psu that is included is a really good combo. -

It does but expect it be around 1k or more... I hope they will die shrink current i7 parts for people like myself that can't afford it. There have been some benchmarks posted and many site are saying that quad cores are better for gaming. The same argument that is held today for dual vs quad... lol -

Dude you are making such a bad decision. Go with the 5870. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Overclocking -

That route will help. But the your foundation will never hold up at the rate video cards are progressing. For example to reach the maximum potential of a 5970... you have to have a i7 overclocked to around 3.8 ghz.. Also in the stuff that silvia mentioned, I would add a solid power supply.
