But thats over a length, if its only a few feet it can handle a good bit more, why do the Big Brazilian amps only have dual power and grounds for 12k, because they are expecting you to have a battery bank with two 1foot power and ground connections to the battery.

It would work that way but each channel is rated at something like 75 watts IIRC and I dont even know if thats rms.

I believe each channel is stable down to 2 ohms, however if you run 2 channels bridged it is only stable to 4 ohms

I think it sorta has to do with brand of speaker's and build quality a bit, I have my Rainbow's in my door, mounted to the door panel, with screws that go deep enough to bite into the metal and I have plenty of midbass, and I have no deadener whatsoever. Here is how mine is mounted in the door, they are powered by a PPI Art 4 channel.

Whats the model number of the amp, my guess is its a 4 channel and he's tryin to run 1 ohm briged to each set of 2 channels.

From looking at the manual it will do rated it seems, it recommends a 200 amp fuse and 2 or 4 gauge power and ground, besides 4 gauge would be fine for 2000rms if you had a battery in the trunk and like a 1-1.5 run of 4 gauge to the amp. 3 10" Level 3's have the most cone area and possibly motor force, I would do either option 1 or 2 as they are more uncommon than the standard pair of 12's.

You are comparing a 350rms 12 to a 1000rms 15, if both given proper power and enclosure yours will smash his in output but his will beat yours in SQ.

What amp are you gonna use??? Depending on the Crossovers on the amp you may not need any bass blockers you can just High pass em at like 55-65hz. I cant tell you exactly without knowing the models's of the Seleniums. Also you are gonna want tweeters on a seperated amp, since they will need to be crossed over at a completely different frequency that the mids.
