Nah sorry mate not selling the 99 motor .. Im a hoarder LOL . I keep my gear unless it's dodgy then i sell it haha.. Yeah well it's gonna be my first wall. So im just going small to start off with.. The subs are only rated at 800rms each. But can easily handle 1000rms daily. So im just gonna use 1 amp for now. Then whether or not i got 10 subs il use another amp. If i only use 9 subs, well then im stuck with using 1 amp LOL

Well a BIG change to my Plans. Decided to wall the car. Only way i see to go ... Im using 9 maybe 10 OA pro series subs running off either 1 or 2 DD Z2hv's ... I haven't heard of a walled commodore in Australia yet ??? but people can confirm if this is true or not. Anyway plan is to wall them.. Tunning the wall to high 30's... the ones in Australia are all the new ones. We only have 1 type.. Ive seen heaps and i mean heaps of people feed atleast 800rms to 1200rms lol

You can feed a clean 1000rms into a type-R and they can handle it daily. day in and day out.

Sounds good I'll be watching this build. The discussion on LS1gto.com was that the gas tank in the not US spec cars was where my spare tire well is. Where are your spare tire and gas tank located? I know what your saying about that the Holdens/GTOs seem to do that well my car with weight in the trunk is tucking on stock 17s. I'm going to coilovers when I have this build finished and my summer job is started. I knew the commodore was a 4 door version its looking good. I wish that color came on the GTO. I think I may dump my spare for battery space and my box is going to be bolted over it anyway. Yeah man i got big plans for this . It's something different. You see to many people with there SUV's or wagons and coupes. My spare tyre is in the middle of the boot and my fuel tank sits about the diff, if you get what i mean ?.. Haha everyone says that about the colour, it's a pretty rare colour to get when these came out. Hyper yellow i think the name is. I was gonna colour code the interior lol but then i got lazy haha

Just acquired 2 of these bad boys . 2 18" Eclipse sw9182 Quad 1.3ohm 3000rms a piece. They are beasty and got them for quite a good price .. So keep your eye's peeled for this space i may be using these in place of the 9515's gonna wire them both to .65ohm on the amp so they will be seeing around 4000rms a piece. Hopefully then il get loud lol..

The car is already tucking the stock 16" rims with no suspension mods at all .. Thank's it's something different compaired to all the builds over here. As topic states im after 2 18" subs. These are going into a groundpounder setup. Must be able to handle atleast 3000rms daily. I live in australia, so if you want to ship them to me then hit me up. ALl brands are welcome. Im after one's that are working to and nothing that needs a re-cone. I don't have a price range as im just looking to see what i get offered

Well first off hello from Australia this is my first post your build thread on here.. This is my 2002 Holden VX S pac commodore. This car was ( still is) my mum's car haha. Then when i got my licence i sorta took it over . This system is nothing flash but it's still loud enough for me for daily ... This is also my first setup using gear to this standard and power. SO go easy on the comments ;P .. MY first DB score on this setup as it stands with Box leaking, 1 side of amp working ( blew fuse and didn't know) sub 11 voltage drop WAS a 142.4db @36 in a sedan with no sound deadener or anything. subs where seeing roughly 1000rms each with voltage drop.. This build is just getting me use to trying to get louder without spending heaps of money and just tweaking box and sealing up pannels and the box and what not. Trying to do all this before is start my 2 18" wall build in another car As this is not a numbers car but id like to see what it get's and ya never know just hope the Bug doesn't bite me and i start chasing numbers LOL Anyway this is the current setup HEadunit: Kenwood KDU 4549 Front speakers: Alpine Type-R splits Rear speakers: Soon to be Alpine type-R splits Speaker amp: Cadence F600-4 Subwoofer: 2 DD 9515 Dual2ohm The BOX is 7cft tuned to 35hz, belive me when i say it plays LOWWWWW had alot of people surprised when they heard it lol.. Sub amp: DD Z2hv running 2ohm Batteries: Kweight 100a/h deep cycle batteries. Only got 2 installed at the moment. But will install another 2 when i get bigger buss bars Also picked up a set of buss bar's from the EX autobarn virginia gemini That's about it for now, But i got 2 15" beastmasters that i MAY use in a burp box lol but that's for another day lol.. For now im happy with it and it meets my expectations, I have had ALOT of help getting this install to what it is , but it still needs to be tided up as it was slapped in to see if it works and now i wont be able to live without the bass lol ALSO some people may know what these are might use these if i can bring my self to

Cause surely i should be able tpo fit 2 15's in a box where the backseat use to be and also remove the box... Also here is a pic of the car, It's the only one i got at the moment... Note this is the condition i got it in. It's heaps better now after i gave it a broom down

Yeah cause it's really hard to find 9515 in dual 2ohm over here in Aus. So i had to bite the bullet and get 1 9915 .. Not that i think it will affect the sound at all lol..

Yeah that's what i mean, I mean not building a wall, Just having a box i can remove in and out of the car with ease. Also the car is a hr31 gts-x skyline

Well im in the middle of getting all my gear together and making a drop in ground pounder style box.. The subs are DD 9515 and 9915.. They subs will be getting around 2000rms each for now, and when i get my other 2 amps, they will soon see around 5500rms each @16v daily.. What i wan't to know is what size box and what sorta hz would it be best to tune the box at to get the most of the install ?

yeah there a O.K band. But i found this to have some low loud bass. Bra boy warriors by 3seven7 . that pounds and i got around 4kw and a 12" MT.

just buy some second hand 12" DC subs of here and a amp to match them and you should hit 140+ in anycar
