  1. More than likely one or more of the plastic clips holding it on have busted. They are harder to find now days, but give the dealership a call and they can order them for you. Chances are very good you will break the current ones taking the chrome rocker panel off, so you will need to order enough to replace all of them, and in that back part I believe there is 4 of them.
  2. Eastwood Powder Coating system is where it's at as far as Do-it-yourself garage PC-ing goes! Great selection of powders, great customer service, and I have been very impressed with the finish their Hot Coat system has been giving me.....better than the finished product I was getting by paying a local comapny to do my PC-ing!
  3. That was horrible. Not only was he extremely heavy on the switch (which burns solenoids like nothing) but his timing was horrendous!
  4. Is it pitting or rusting? If it is pitting basically your only option is to take it to a shop, fill in the pitts and have it re-dipped. If it is just surface rust you can try some #0000 steel whool and gently try to get it off with soapy water and the steel whool, but then you will have to have the piece polished out.
  5. Mostly rain this morning....but supposed to turn into "showers" and then possibly snow tonight. Got the cars all waxed and sitting pretty for the first car show of the season today, but they aren't leaving the garage now!
  6. Sad but true man...they are talking deep freeze for Sunday morning. :-(
  7. I wouldn't just go drilling holes in my frame. Structurally most frames are not exactly rigid, the last thing I would do is potentially weaken it. All depends on how drastic you want to be, and what you trust, but if your not familiar with the load distribution on the frame I wouldn't chance randomly drilling holes in it. Just my opinion though.
  8. Unless the underbody kits have changed they all come with a transformer that you need to hook up. Then you wire all the neon into the transformer and 12V source and groudn into the transformer.
  9. Oh, and as far as fabric goes....use whatever fabric you want. Suede, or vinyl, or leather, or I really personally like the butter soft vinyl. Wears like vinyl, but feels like leather, and has a padded layer on it already.
  10. If your ambition enough to really try sewing them yourself it is not too difficult. You have to take your time and use a seem ripper to carefully take apart all the panels on the seat cover. Then all you have to do is trace them with chalk onto the new fabric, cut them out, and sew them back together. Really very simple to do, just have to have time and patients, and general sewing knowledge.
  11. It's a good feeling especially when you know they will be put down. I have adopted both of my dogs through the human society. Hope it works out for you.
  12. Agreed. I had to have 3 interviews for my current position, and they were always the one to bring up salary/vacation/benefits packages. It is usually wise to let them be the ones to bring it up. Or if it is not brought up during the interview when they ask "Do you have any more questions?" That would be a good time to bring it up. In this scenario when you most likely will only have one interview it would be wise to ask. Although if given the opportunity to ask questions I wouldn't start with it!
  13. It is all personal preference as to how you approach it and your comfort level, but I can say from personal experience (as I am in a position of hiring people) even the small things that show interest in the company and what it does are a good sign. Not to mention it is important to know what you are going to be making...why accept a job if you then later find out your getting paid squat. I also had to take quite a few classes in college about interviewing and resumes and all that good jazz and they all recommend discussing it. You have to be tactfull about it....but it is your one shot at negotiating your sallary. You can't ask for more money or decide what they are going to pay you isn't enough if you don't know prior to accepting.
  14. This is incorrect. Although going into an interview these can not be your priority, or the things you focus your attention on during the interview, these are things that need to be discussed, negotiated, as well as an understanding of what the employer expects. The discounts are not necessarily something that needs to be discussed, but the salary and vacation time is extremely relevant to your acceptance of a potential offer. It is also important for the employer to be made aware of potential time off you may be needing in the near future so both sides are aware of what they are getting themselves in and employer and an employee. NEVER feel the need to stray away from asking questions about the position whether it be something as simple as "do we get breaks?" or as complex as getting into 401K and pension posibilities. It is important for the employer to understand what they are getting from you, as well as what you will be getting in return, and showing some interest in the "lang haul" never hurts!
  15. That leveling out, as well as not having the negative camber will be less wear and tear on the rubber of your rims then for sure, which is always a bonus! Pics never do paint justice, but looking good!
  16. Thanks. Very close. 2 SAZ-1000D's, SAX 50.4 and 2 Z15 D2's :-)
  17. What else can I say but thanks! Got the last of my equipment from Sundown, now I am just waiting on a couple other parts and my build can begin! Thanks again Jacob and everyone with Sundown. P. S. Sorry for the crappy cell pics!
  18. If the worst thing that happens to you is a couple set backs in putting a system in than your life is pretty peachy! Wait until you have a mortgage, and car payments, and kids to pay for, there are a lot bigger things that could go wrong, and as you grow older they only seem to become bigger.
  19. As the topic states....I am looking for 4 1/0 -to-4 ga. reducers. If you have some laying around your not in need of anymore send me a pm! Thanks.
  20. Everyone was new to this at one stage or another, no point in making a joke of it. You don't learn that way. You learn by people willing to inform and teach you!
  21. I figured as much, especially since you seem to do your research. Good to point out for those who are in the market, or already have the chrome/stainless tanks from before though since they were having a ton of issues with them exploding in peoples cars.
  22. Love how nicely that tank tucks up in the rear there. And very nice build up. I am also sure you have looked into it/addressed it already, but just as a caution I would double check to ensure that is the newer DOT approved stainless steel tank. They were having issues with them exploding from the rusting inside of them, especially when people werent using water traps. Again...I am sure you have looked into it and have researched it already....but if nothing else, at least people reading this will be aware of it for future purchases!
