Fun to tool around in...and over the winter here he was talking about having me do some glassing on it...so we'll see.

No problem. Works for a lot of things actually...wax, plastic, etc. Takes a little bit to get it all out, but eventually it will.

Not that it will happen again...but in the case you ever get that stuck in the carpet again put a damp towel on the carpet where the spot is and hit it with a hot iron....the plastic will stick to the towel.

Is there a reason why you don't want to do air suspension? It can be very reliable, and a smooth ride if done right.

Interesting. I am not sure what the garage gets to with the wood burning stove...not real hot, but I have had good luck using it still....I am going to have to get out there with a thermostat and find out.

I know with hydraulic set ups space is always an issue...so a lot of times it just ends up getting mounted to the box.

How cold are you talking though? It can function in relatively mild climates...but I wouldn't stretch it too far.
