  1. Stay positive man! Don't let anything bring you down. Hopefully it's just a rough patch.
  2. It really depends on your taste in music man. Be a little more specific as to what you're looking for.
  3. The subsonic filter dampens all frequencies below where you set it so as not to unload your subs if you play a frequency below the port tuning. If it's a ported box, set the subsonic about 5hZ below the tuning frequency. If it's sealed, turn the subsonic all the way down to 20. As far as LPF, it's almost the opposite of a subsonic. It dampens the high frequencies that a sub shouldn't play which is usually above 80hZ. Just set it around 80hZ and that should be good. This is assuming it's a basic daily system. I'm not going to go in depth, but this is the layman explanation. PS Don't set it by the clock hand.
  4. Think of it this way, if there was a kick ass way to make money at home that would be significant enough for one to sacrafice his time to do it, everyone would probably be doing it. And yes, majority of them are either scams or require a lot of capital to get going. If he has a skill such as programming, database building, website building etc.. he could market his skills at various forums or look around for people who want to buy programs. I've made a little money from people buying my programs from home, but nothing worth the time. The most was $200 but I wrote some odd 57 pages of code for it over two months...
  5. Just for a little insight to help you choose, the new model MOJO 15 can take 4K daily. That's more than the BTL or LVL 4. (This is assuming you don't have completely clean power.) But with your amp a LVL 4 or BL will do just fine.
  6. That is wrong. You are not 'gaining' power by running more wires. You are reducing the impedance and 'allowing' more current to flow unrestricted. It is safe either way. All you are doing by running a negative wire is guaranteeing a closed circuit. The chassis is fine. Your problem is that you are running yellow top batteries. Unless they are the G31 batts, they are worthless running a 4KW. And your alternator is not powerful enough. The 4KWs draw about 400A at full tilt, and unless you have some powerful batteries, your alternator won't keep up. Take it from a guy who runs 4KWs every day.
  7. Well, not really just the gain. I meant if you DID have those things in series with the RCAs, then your amp gain or accessory gain could be throwing a bogus signal. But that's only when they're together. Just cause they're new doesn't mean they are good. I'd try an old crappy set real quick. If that doesn't fix it, try moving that RCA from SW to Rear on the back of the HU. If that doesn't fix it, then it could be a bad amp, but I doubt you'll get this far. **meaning you shouldn't have to go this far.
  8. Well just try one thing at a time to rule things out one by one. Try new RCAs Turn any line drivers, bass boosters, eqs, etc down a hair or leave that volume and turn the amp gain down Try a different amp. That rules out the most likely possibilities.
  9. Yeah. That's why I asked if it was just once or repeated. Make sure your RCAs are seated properly in the back of the HU or try some new ones. I'm almost willing to guarantee that's the problem. If you have a line driver or bass booster, try turning it down because those cause funny things to happen if your gains aren't set right. EDIT: Seen this exact problem before. That's why I told you to watch the subs.
  10. Ah, I just recently sent my amp out for a similar problem. Does it just pulse once when it powers on or does it continue to pulse? EDIT: Watch your protect fault light and watch the subs while they make the sound and see if they move slowly. Be a little more descriptive about when it's happening.
  11. Like I told ya, those XLs would be better for what you're looking at with 2 T4Ks or similar. Good luck to you man. GET TO WORK!
  12. Thanks for the help guys! Two of you got it right actually It's supposed to contain ALL of the values. It's so silly I know. Any more suggestions would be greatly appreciated! I've cone up with a few corny things myself, but I kinda want it to be um... "moving" for lack of better words. Something that will...inspire people. They like that stuff haha.
  13. I've dealt with all of them and they are all great guys. Currently I run Iraggi and I'll be going with DC for my upcoming van build. It doesn't mean that Mechman, Ohio Gen, Interlinc, etc... are bad companies or lacked in something that I found with DC. I just chose them because I wanted to. IMO I don't think that there should be threads like this that compare companies who have their own sections. It just causes problems. Do the research yourself or start a poll if you just can't decide.
  14. Maybe I didn't make it clear. It's a training center for a crude oil storage facility. It's mainly geared towards safety meetings and training to help people get better at their jobs. And we need to incorporate ALL of the values into the slogan. They're so gung ho about this stuff so I'm just trying to pick some more brains. I know it's silly.
  15. Hey everyone. My job just recently built a new training center and I just found out I was tasked with coming up with a slogan to go over the entrance of the door by tomorrow The only rules are that is has to be under 25 words and must contain our company values in some way (teamwork, respect, integrity, courage, excellence and fun). Anybody have any ideas? Thanks for the help guys!
  16. Does it stay at 11.3 or does is slowly drop as you drive?
  17. Please. I know where it's going, but I love dirty details.
  18. Alright. 4k for subs and amps we can help you with.. But that's probably going to require 2k or more in electrical upgrades depending on the route you take (alternators, brackets, batteries). Then materials could run you upwards of 1k+ since it's a blowthrough and you're going big (wire, terminals, wood, glue, glass, etc..). There's a lot more to a system than just subs and amps so I hope your ready to dump a lot of money into it. Maybe you knew that but I thought I'd bring it up. Not sure of your experience.
  19. Well of course you can do better. MOJOs aren't the best thing out there, but they are kick ass. You really need to give us a budget and a goal so we can set you up proper. I don't think you caught my sarcasm in the first post.
  20. Amp: T15K or Kicker Warhorse Subs: Two T3 Boogie Monsters Hopefully that's in your budget...
