I think I get what you are saying. But I am doing this one out of birch so I think a rectangle with the port on the side is going to have to do. I still can't believe how big that port looks.lol

How about subs firing in a different direction or something? I pretty much have had success with the port and sub facing the same direction, but I see enclosures with the port on the side doing pretty well.

I was going to put the port firing back with the subs, but there won't be enough room. I am going for SQL and plan on playing music as it is my daily. What would firing the subs back and the port to the side do to the sound quality? Should I rethink the 6" port? I considered porting through the package tray but I am not going to cut any metal. I am hoping the side port thing will sound good. The enclosure is going to be 4 cubes and it's for two SeXXX 12's.

I might just grab one up.

Hey brutha, we all need to get things off our chest every once in a while. Keep you chin up and remember, you Dad will always be your dad no matter what. Have you looked into disability pay for him? If he is anything like my dad, he would rather be raped to death by a Blue Whale than file for disability, but roofing and such (pretty much the same thing my dad does) couldn't be good for him right know. I hope this works out. I have been in similar situations recently (friends getting tore up in Iraq) an it is never easy. The best advise I can give you is to be there for him and make him understand how the people around him would rather have him there with them weather it be with only one finger and two teeth or exactly as he is.

As much as I am going to hate myself for saying this... Those are fucking cool! I hate blingy anything (I ride a blacked out Harley) but those are bad ass, and I'll bet they sound friggin' awesome. Nice score there man.

I heat shrink everything. Mostly because I had a hook up lol but it turned out to be a life saver when a shitty crimp(I know) was giving way.
