what kind of mid/ highs amp do you have, my amp does the same thing, and i'm curious what your running.

in theory, the 2 12's would get louder, in actuality either one could get louder than the other setup, depends on a lot of factors.

the difference between 6 and 8 cubic foot can be made up by tuning a tad lower.....plus its either that or blow the sub

if its after the 11th im there....just not competing

go with a loaded bl, a little lighter on the wallet, and if you blow it (prob wont) its only a recone compared to replaceing the sub

I just tell them that there is a lot to learn from what seems to be really simple-same as modifying cars to go fast, but cheaper. And competing at comps is teh shiznit

Well, i just moved to melbourne, Fl from Detroit to go to school, and i had to really sacrefice on space to get all my crap down here, and i miss my bass to say the least. I was runnin 4 10's on a orion 2500d, now all i have is 1 10 off of my 4 channel in a really crappy box I was wondering if anyone knew of any places that would cut mdf around here?

Whats up guys I'm 18, just moved to florida to attend florida tech. I got into car audio right when i got my license. I've been browsing steve's builds as well as this forum for some time now, but since my usual forum (car audio central) is slowing down, i decided to finally join. Unforunately because of space issues i had to leave nearly all my equipment back in MI, but back home waiting for me are my 4 10'' elevation audio sqx's with an orion 2500D and 200 amp excessive amperage alt. For now all i have down here is 1 10'' off my jbl75.4 with mb quart comps and pioneer deck. I've gone to a couple of comps, and bass raced a 139.8, and pulled a 145.5 @52 at my last comp. I'm curious to know if there are any competitors near me? It looks like there are some great guys here with a lot of experience.
