that is a mass airflow sensor for sure. did you just replace your stock airbox with a cone filter and no intake tube? you know you are gonna loose power when it is hot right?

for the extra power i would choose the RD. i love the AQ 2200 but they tend to be a lil clip happy and the RD will put out more clean watts it just depends if you want to wait for it and pay the extra money

the dimensions you gave are close to 14 cubic feet. that is plenty for 2 18's

if i am mounting them flat in the trunk or anywhere with carpet then i use velcro. ^^just so i don't put holes in the floor or anything.

^^^touch the amp while its pounding and see if you feel vibrations. if you do then its not good. to the OP: its gonna vibrate anywhere inside of the car. as long as your box is solid it will be fine. i use rubber spacers under the mounts of my amps everywhere i mount them just to be safe though

put a clip light on the bass remote and you will take all of audioque's sales.

metal bowl or similar. anything that is bigger than the pvc itself and will force the pvc to flare. it needs to have a curve to it though. you can use a heat gun or torch. put the pvc pipe down onto the bowl (or whatever you are using) heat the pipe up SLOWLY. if you heat it up too much or get it too hot, it will crack, turn brown, bubble and will not hold the flare. as you are heating it up, push it onto the bowl (don't force it, just push a little). it will start to flare out and once you have it to the flare that you want you have to hold it on the bowl until it COOLS. i usually pour ice water on it or run a water hose over it for a minute or so until it cools down completely. 1. take your time. 2. don't get it too hot. 3. hold the flare until it has cold again.

if your knob is backwards like that it is just a manufactures defect. the max bass boost is full clockwise. if you want a new one that has them labeled properly just contact dj and he will switch your old one with a new one that has the proper labels on it. and as far as the clip light, it is pretty close to what an o-scope will tell you. the light will be very faint on a soft clip and glowing red on a hard clip.

^^^true. i only get bonerish (if thats a word) over a sub if i install it and it suprises the shit out of me. i'm pretty bonerish (again, is it a word?) over audioque because for the money it suprises the shit out of me

yeah alot of people compare subs that i'm pretty sure they have never used. i can compare a RE SX to a FI Q, Lvl 4, etc. because i've used them all. i know the differences in sound and musical use of a FI bl and FI Q. etc, etc, etc, etc. oh well though. i only come in an tell someone they are wrong if what they say is actually wrong. if it is just a strong opinion then i leave them alone and let them love their speakers.

i usually recommend all of those companies because they are all great. but i have actually used all of them.
