  1. knew that was coming. when i get home i'll throw some pics up. don't have a pic of the tl. but i got a pic of my tropy. took third place in 0-250 class. everyone else was running two 12's, one 15, or one 18 so i was happy to take third with a single 12. the car is a hatchback focus svt.
  2. pull the kinetik battery out and check the voltage with no load on it. should float between 12.5 and 12.9. if it doesn't then charge it. if it won't hold a charge then get a new one.
  3. check the polarity of your speakers. maybe you have the positives and negatives reversed on that one door.
  4. when you go in the lane do a sine wave from 20 to 100 HZ. then ask the guy on the termlab what hz you peaked at. then put that tone on. for example: if you peak at 40 hz then play a 40hz tone.
  5. took this sub to a comp this weekend to "break it in" in between other runs. had it in a 2 cu. ft. box tuned to 34hz powered by a AQ 1200D. did a 145.8 in the kick sealed up at 41HZ. not bad for one 12. this thing didn't even get stinky either. thanks rusty.
  6. x2. patrick has mostly all adire stuff. forgot about him. i think he even has a recone for a 12" brahma on ebay right now.
  7. what? you said you want 1000-1200 RMS at 1 ohm for 200 to 250 dollars audioque is 249 shipped and does actual 1200 at 1 ohm.
  8. i had a couple of the old PPI art series A600. still have one in my garage that i've been meaning to fix. already have the parts just got to solder them in. maybe i will do that this weekend. you know what this thread does have a purpose. thanks.
  9. i personally like the 12 volt diagrams straight to business, no flashy pictures
  10. rubber washers will help but the whole box will still vibrate and the sound waves will cause some vibration. other than the rubber washers, there isn't much you can do. you should be cool though.
  11. i don't know why this is so hard for you guys. just look at the diagram. follow the alphabet boys A B C D. and you are finished.
  12. 9500's don't have the best sq
  13. yea. are you powering these with the hifonics? all on one amp or 2 on each amp?
  14. it wasn't actually from the forty's. lol it was just an old pillow that had cotton and the dude thought that was pollyfill. shit got hot and he had a nice bass barbeque in the trunk.
  15. nice. little man finished. i haven't been on in a while. gotta go check out this build log. i personally use wrinkle paint. its in a spray can, covers wood very well, its cheap, and the finished product looks like rhino liner without the cost. check it fool: the sides are carpeted but the top is painted with wrinkle paint.
  16. pix or you secretly own these and used your "friend" as the dummy for your story. :zorro:
  17. make sure its not flammable one spark off your speaker wire and box will go up in flames, seen it happen. some dude stuffed his ported box with an old pillow and i guess this pillow was from the forty's or something before they knew what flammable meant and his shit caught fire. it was hilarious because the air movement from the sub only added to the fire.
  18. 1.5 will sound fine but if you want to do 2.0 cu ft. it will give you better lows. your call. i always like a medium size box like 1.5 cu ft. because its a little "punchier"
  19. ask rusty at dcsoundlab.com he will answer your emails way faster. he might be able to do one for you. he made me a recone for a 12" RE SX
  20. audioque 1200D for 249 shipped from audioque.com i have a couple and it does rated power and then some!
  21. nice. its little things like that make a huge difference in the way a car looks. looks sick man.
