  1. Anything new for next year other than the SG1? Possibly some 4" coil monsters by chance?
  2. you should be able to go to any decent online car racing store IE summitracing.com .. You can buy a module thats used for drag racing and it has set modes if your car has EFI and a TPS. It's simple, you wire it in, and program the rpms you want each button to do. In my Chevy for drag racing I have it set for 2500rpm burns and 3krpm for staging. Works real well. I will be putting one on my ford once I get my dual alternators.
  3. I bought a couple of the DD 9512g woofers and I plan to put them in my blow-through but first I was wanting to know what type of power they can actually handle. I see numerous posts from people saying 2k all the way to 5k. I have 2 IA 40.1's that I would like to use on each one if they could possibly handle it. I have the voltage to support them as well. So any input is welcome. Good buy or no?
  4. I've had my fair share with RC jet planes and Nitro trucks. Those are kids toys.. I stepped up to a bigger turbo... Me and a friend built this in about a week. And it runs on Hydrogen and Propane.
  5. I had 4 10's in my blow-through on 14,000watts and 2 15's all on the same power and my 2 15's were a little bit louder and could move more air.. I'd go with 2 15's. But its pretty much a toss up.. Oopps didn't see the last message, Id go with the 15's probably cheaper too
  6. Not worth it.. RamMat BXT is real good though.. Some of the stickiest shit I've used. I barely laid it down on my roof and I couldn't pull it off.
  7. I completely agree.. All my PowerMaster, EA, MCR, and not to name the rest, all have tiny little charge posts. This is essentially worthless to me since I have aeverything done in 4/0 welding cable. Here's pics of what all my other alts look like.
  8. Again with all these Youtubers :censored: If you haven't heard them for yourself I know you'll think they aren't all that great. I know from many systems I have owned consisting of L7's.. But thats if you have ever heard anything other than Kicker products to. Try keeping your opnion non biased as to what you seen on a video. I say save up and buy elsewhere man.
  9. yes there could be possibly more than one thing wrong.. I haven't had to do too much work with PT crusisers but I do know they have bad heads i.e. aluminum heads like on the cadilac northstar engines which are very famous for the problem of blowing the head gasket.. Try listening around if you hear any air hissing out around your head. But if its throwing that code my OBDII book says its 4 different things with the EGR valve.
  10. Also the TPS should be rather small and if your car is EFI and it has a TPS it will usually be like a round sorta module that plugs directly to a spring loaded throttle gear right under the throttle body itself. Also by messing with the TPS and trying to do something with it installed you wont find out nothing. Your best bet is to take apart the harness that connects to it and with the wires that go directly to the TPS test it with a DMM to figure out how the ohms read when connected to it. The ohms will read just like your RPMs ie: 750.0ohm means 750 RPM etc....
  11. It very well could be your throttle position sensor, or a vacuum leak or plug, fault in the fuel or electrical systems, leaking EGR valve, plugged PCV valve, leaking head gasket, or camshaft lobes worn. Your throttle position sensor should be right underneath your throttle body where the air intake tubes go into it. Does your chack engine light flash on or stay on at all? Also what kinda car are we talking about here?
  12. they could use another 3000 haha
  13. Well since a meter measure pressure level and not how loud it is to your ear. It did a 154 on music with the mic on the window and driver side door open. On the other hand the loudness to the ear was rediculous. It was the loudest system in the truck. Im actually gonna switch back to 2 15's but not Fi either the new AA sub or a Sound Stream XXX
  14. yea trail and error man.. I had mine like that before but this setup was louder to my ears.
  15. IF you do a blow-through you might as well go all out! It would be a pain to welding them cut panels back into place anyways no matter how experianced you are.
  16. Something like this would be sick man!
  17. This is what mine looks like... This is virtually giving up your whole bed. This is my new one.
  18. Thanks.. It was somewhat loud.. But not how I like it. I ended putting an atomic 5000.1 on them and fried them.. So I sold the car and what was left to a friend of mine. He's thinking of having me re-built it with some new Solo x 12's. It was done up the right way though. Batts and cooling fans under each amp.
  19. Who said anything was wrong with them? By all means not me! I used to run kicker and alpine till I encountered bigger an better things. You go to thses stores such as Drive In Autosound and ask them about Fi, Steve Meade, AA, RE, Sundown, DC Audio.. And they will just laugh at you and say their stuff is by far better without them even knowing any thing I listed. So for that matter, its places like that who are a disgrace to car audio and Im thankful for forums such as this one that are very informative and more knowledgable. This was my old system till I encountered Fi
