  1. bandpasses are rare anymore...that would be unique
  2. have you ever had to recone anything? people mix and match recones all the time.
  3. You may be able to find one with a major manufacturer, but some companies (like DD) require you to provide pictures of the sub to get a recone, so that you don't have a bybrid like what you want. It also depends on the basket layout.
  4. so your vehicles resonant frequency is between 60-70 hz. Heres what you do 1. Build a box with aero ports, and tune it to 60. 2.Test @ 60hz, measure your spl 3. Cut ports to tune it to 61, give your batts time to recharge, AND DON'T CHANGE ANYTHING BETWEEN TESTS! Seats, box placement, batt charge, make sure it all the same every time. 4. Test @ 61 hz. If you measure louder than before, then you're getting closer. 5. Cut ports to tune it to 62 hz, charge her back up for another run. 6. Test again Repeat this process until you drop on the meter, then you know that the last one you did was your peak hope that helps. I think there should be a sticky on this.
  5. Testing. It will take a lot of time on the meter to find what your EXACT resonant frequency is.And take a lot of wood for all the text boxes. I'll try and sum it up on how to do it. Tune a box to say, 40hz. Run a sweep, see what it peaks at. Make another box tuned to differentlylets say 45, see what it peaks at. Measure your SPL everytime you do so. If it got louder with the second box, then that box is closer to your vehicles resonant frequency. TEST TEST TEST
  6. i work at the UPS store to When i package something heavy, i make a box of styrofoam inside the box isteslf, one layer of peanuts, put the item in. then overfill. Keeps it nice and tight.
  7. meh, just talk to Q and sam, they'll vouch for me...i hope Edit: and if they don't...FUCK THAT
  8. I've been looking at sound deadener, and i was about to order the dynamat bulk kit for 139, but then i found a fatmat bulk kit of 100^2 feet for 129! Is the quality just not even close? or do they just decide not to run up the price?
  9. i dont know about a "few" decibels but moving seats, things on the interior of the car can get you up a few tenths for sure
  10. how can you tell they suck? Crappy signal? How would you even be able to tell that?
  11. I know they can get crazy expensive. I just didn't know if it was worth the money to see a difference in performance. I mean the only difference is the quality of the signal right? I'd like to keep it under 100 dollars for my 4 channel and sub amp together
  12. I've always used some pair of crappy RCA's that my dad gave me when I was 16, since i'm getting all new wiring, i thought i might as well step that up as well. I'm Going with 100 ft of KnuKonceptz KLMX wire and making as many runs as I can(probably 2 of each + & -). So i would like to stick with Knu on these RCA's, but I have no idea which ones to get, mostly because I don't know what makes a good RCA cable. Suggestions? http://www.knukonceptz.com/index.cfm
  13. http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_1726_D...-++-+10455.html maybe 200 shipped for both
  14. I have no idea what these are worth but LMK and i'll get back to you.
