  1. its a dual 2 BL fully loaded. wired to 1 ohm on the RF t1000.1bd thanks man
  2. you are my twin I am getting 4 18" BL's in my Tahoe pretty soon. already started on the box design. are you going to be adding some more US amps? I might consider going with DC just because I want to tune a little lower on the new box and DC's Fs is around 28hz they sure do take power though... you just need to let them break in a while for them to get real loud and sound great doing it.
  3. is this the 09 model. I'm not even sure I bought mine in 09 lol.
  4. if you are talking about the one with piano... do you remember what its called? it was pretty funny because it was just a shot of you looking around anticipating better results with some serious ass piano in the background haha
  5. mods such as james do a pretty good job of cleaning up that type of "behavior" props to the mods for making this a great place to learn about car audio. I understood everything you said I was just adding to it for clarification to other noobs that might be reading this.
  6. my bad lol I have never been through the home theatre section since I don't have my own home to do it in but when I start my new build the current 18 will be in my room already have a 10 or 8 with my 5.1 I think which used to pound... then came Fi I heard downfires sound nice in home theatre applications.
  7. no matter how old you are RESPECT is key to getting your answers end of story. I'm not sure you posted this in the right section so we will see how long it lasts in here.

  9. from the review I read it sounds like the Rockford Bass Knob with a little more too it. it boosts certain frequency ranges. at the bottom of your seat. thats a mans seat. lol well at least I know why I didn't get a demo today
  10. what kandiman said and there is a function in the head unit itself. I think its called like power ic or something like that.

  14. lol its quite the experience I'll tell you that. he's a cool guy too... you would expect him to be full of himself like some people are that have systems but he's real down to earth kinda guy. ps. you got PM!
  15. its boss of all bosses by slim thug on his new cd. careful though its clipped. EDIT: actually fix it with audacity and you'll be good
  16. name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>"> name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="425" height="350">2:02 lol its not but a week old so your in the same boat as me. its tuned just perfect for my car this song when I first chopped and screwed made a full arizona hop out of my cup holder and I had to catch it before it spilled everywhere. normally the arizonas just bounce and splash on my center console.
  17. I have been slappin it ever since I watched Steves video with the sprint car driver. it pounds if you chop and screw it. I love it
  18. why wouldn't you get a couple t15k's? talk about groundpounder lol you would be shakin the whole block state fuck it get a semi
  19. you aren't going to be as loud? should there be something wrong? what are you running?
  20. sorry to thread jack but this would still go for doing suede right? back to the op... I used some crap for hardwood flooring thats similar to contact cement for my box which is in my build and it turned out really nice. just make sure you get it the first time so you aren't pulling it off and trying it over. and careful because even if you don't mean to it gets on everything. post some pics of the process for your build
  21. well since I'm a noob at it too I'm still pretty fresh in what I remember. I read the rules too and they were pretty confusing... thats for street classes and all of that. I would recommend starting with bass race. by now if you have had your system for a while you should know which songs are really loud and which songs aren't. find one that you think is really loud with non stop bass for 30 seconds. actually not non stop because that is considered a test tone or a sine wave as you might have heard and that isn't aloud for bass race. I use thug motivation by young jeezy because it has 30 seconds of 41hz tones which plays the loudest in my car... might be similar for your suburban. you pay your $40 and tell them your name and then qualifying starts. you can go when you want but sooner or later they will call your name. you have 30 seconds in qualifying. play the song you have full tilt for the first 15ish seconds maybe less depending to see what you can really do and then from there say you got a 145db. there are classes that go up in 10db increments. 129.9 139.9 149.9 159.9 since you got a 145 you can't really compete in the 49.9 class because someone else could qualify higher than you and you wouldn't even be able to compete. study your opponents and get to know what classes they do. up here in nor cal nyman owns the 39.9 so anyone going in has to be prepared. you know what I mean. so lets say you pick the 39.9 class... you have 30 seconds when the meter starts to keep your average db score just at 139.9 without even going .1 db over. my first comp I had limited control and went .1 over and lost automatically. you want to be within less than a db with 15 seconds left. the point is to get a perfect score or in some cases with the higher up class get the highest db within your limit. I can't really think of much more but if you have any more questions it might spark it and there are many more people to ask on here I was just giving you the noob perspective lol last thing is have fun... you will see the same guys at almost every show so be respectful. ask questions too.
  22. why would 6" be the magic number? just wondering what would happen if say I went closer? how low did you tune it?
  23. stealing my ideas? lol I'm doing similar sooner or later. thats how I drew up my mock box with the port on the bottom like that. I am using a little bit of a false floor towards the back of the box near the seats to fit some amps under. I think Steve did something like that for his t4k's tell me how it goes I am definitely interested.
  24. if it means reporting to a mod don't even waste your time. they are probably already on it. its just a matter of who calls it
