  1. rotflmao. i totally love it Cody. Thanks for blowing that up for me. Now finish that piece of shit off.
  2. To the guy who didnt like the alan head screws: They are pretty damn tough. i cranked onto them with both the alan wrench that came in the box as well as one that i have that fits it even better than the ones that come with the amp. they didnt chip or strip at all when i cranked onto them so the terminals and screws are very good. it may not be made in the us but what is these days? i think its high quality but we will find out for sure in the spring/summer when i get near the end of my build and hook it up to my fosgate t1 6.5's.
  3. Hey Cody, since you have the 175.4. it shows in the dc website that the amps all have a clip light. now i know what you are gonna say because i have a tpi 440 now to measure clipping but does this have it or is it a lie on the site? im not getting my 175 until tomorrow sometime.
  4. i figured you would ask this. sorry for not saying. look at the back of the speaker. normally the manufacturer puts them on there as a sticker or if the speakers are stock they are printed right on the magnet or motor of the speaker. usually after market ones are 4 ohms and stock tend to be 8 ohms from my findings.
  5. try this. set your multimeter to impedance/ohms. (its the one that looks kinda like a pair of headphones) - put your test leads on the positive and negative terminals of the speaker (doesnt matter for polarity to test resistance in this case) - read the resistance, if its less than the rated ohm load than its blown second slightly push on the speaker directly in the middle (DO NOT put a ton of force into it) - if its hard to move or makes a crunching noise then it is definitely blown third smell the speaker - if it smells burnt or like hot glue then its blown up. let me know your findings. im a pro at blown speakers because thats all i ever do. lmfao.
  6. ahh ok, i gotcha now. well i dont really need them, i have a 3sixty.2 for all that processing stuff. now i have to figure out a good spot to put them at on the amp so i dont disrupt it.
  7. What do you mean 10x switch? For how many db's the crossover point is at? And another question. Is the hp and lp just a normal gain knob style or does it "click" so you know what freq it is set to? I have a 3sixty.2 as it is but want the best I can get especially since my speakers are only made for 100 watts rms.
  8. i think i was told thats a class a/b. idk for sure. to be honest i bought the amp from corona_jeff on here without knowing a damn thing about it. all i knew was that it puts out a rated 175 watts at 4 ohms per channel. i didnt know about the knobs and settings on it, the guts of it, the wire size it can accept or anything like that. i just trusted that it would be awesome because of how great dc's subs and old amps were.
  9. damn, i wanted to be the first to post a pic of the 175.4 guts. lol. oh well. so hey what size power and grounds are on the 175.4? Are they 4 gauge max?
  10. its all good, sorry i didnt see the post above. good luck with your future purchase. i love my stetsom.
  11. I have a Stetsom 2k6d i would like to sell. Its the 2 ohm model. It has the ability to put out 3000w rms at 2 ohms at 13.8 volts. And 2600 watts at 12.6 volts. Plus this amp was modded so it can take higher voltage (up to 14v) and it does NOT have the internal fuse on it so you can really squeeze even more power out of this amp. And for the size of it, its a power horse for being so small. And i was able to get 0 gauge into the power and grounds on it without any problem (but im good at wiring) and if you arent a pro at wiring then 2 gauge will work with it no questions asked. Im looking for like $300 pre-shipping (shipping shouldnt be much, its not heavy) or a offer, no low balls. let me know what you think, i dont have pics of it right now but i can prob get them tomorrow after work and school.
  12. So true. I modded my stetsom amp i have so that there is no internal fuse on it but i do have a single external fuse and it has saved me before when the 0 gauge wire i had on the fuse holder wasnt in all the way and the bass shook it loose and it grounded out. it blew like it was supposed to. thank god for fuses. lol.
  13. you need a 80 amp fuse. tops. thats the exact rating your fuse was (trust me i know) all AGU fuses have the amperage ratings on the one end cap (where you said the number was aue 80) the 80 represents a 80 amp fuse. also check that your fuse holder isnt damaged from it arcing. Its like a $15 deal to get a new fuse holder and fuse at a good shop with a guy you can get to go down on the price. Id mail you my fuse but i only have a 35 and a 60 amp fuse so you will prob blow that up fast.
  14. indeed he is, he actually is buying (although he is only paying shipping from the deal i offered him) for my blown solox. I dont want it and it just needed a recone and since nobody where i live wanted to get the recone i was just going to toss it but i told him that i wanted to sell it and he can do whatever he wanted with it and i asked if he would take it for just the shipping down to his place and he is fine with that. He is really a stand up guy.
  15. Ok so i am finally getting around to making a feedback post for CJ18. I have bought a TON of items from him and he has helped me out a tremendous amount with my new upcoming build on my truck. I had bought a used AA SMD 18" D-1 woofer, RF 3sixty.2 and 2 sets of RF T1652-s speakers. All of the three items i had purchased from him were in pristine condition. The SMD looks like it was never used other than the wood dust that was on it (the vacuum took care of that though), the 3sixty was in great condition just missing the setup cd but i downloaded it so no big deal on my part, and the door speakers had everything that came with them originally to install them and were in mint condition. Everything i had bought from him had a very steep discount on it and he shipped everything fast (and not to mention he is very patient with my paypal money going through from my bank to his paypal). Not to mention he is a pro at shipping goods too. The SMD was shipped in the original box with the wood and everything, the 3sixty and the door speakers were all shipped in a big ass box and were packed tightly to help from ups getting "throw happy" with my packages. I would and probably will still keep doing business with him in the future. He has even guided me to another member on here to buy the DC audio amp i needed to power the rf t1652-s speakers well. He even has been helping me throughout the process of me designing a subwoofer box for my SMD 18 to really make it slam to all hell. So all in all thank you for the great buys Cody and i am more than willing to buy from you again in the future and if anyone has any questions about him feel free to ask me because ill tell you right now he is a stand up guy who knows his shit.
  16. Thanks bum. I figured it came with the leads but just wanted to make sure. I ordered the scope and the clamp meter for it. Now I don't need to hunt down anybody for an oscope in my area.
  17. alright, so im just going to get the tpi 440 oscope and dmm. I noticed they have a clamp meter TPI A296 for it is that a good clamp meter with the already great unit? I was going to use this to see how much current my amps are going to draw just for the hell of it. Is this a great add on for the unit? let me know. i have the money in hand to buy that unit.
  18. ehh im not a freak for fluke products, i used to be but their accuracy isnt that hot. bum: i love your pic, i laugh at it every time i read any of your posts. lol. i really think im going to buy it. now for what im good at the stupid question. it comes with the test leads right? i didnt read anything about it.
  19. wow thats not too bad for a price. id dump that for the scope. its too bad i have a perfect digital multi meter. lol.
  20. thats not bad but i really like the interface that the tpi 440 has.
  21. Alright, so im lacking a big necessity for my new build... a oscope. i used one from my installer a long time ago and i think his was shitty cuz it still clipped apparently. I would like to get a tpi brand oscope from on here like ive seen everyone else run (and before you give me the link for the one thats like $400 i wanted to see if any1 had one used) Let me know. id prefer to be under 400 shipped if possible, btw, my zip is 14150.
  22. Hey everyone, i need to see if anyone on here has any pretty short 6 channel rca cables for sale. i need them to be about 3-5 feet in length and i need to have 6 rca connectors (6 channel). i would prefer for all 6 of them to be in one cable to keep it clean and would like to get them for around $20 shipped to 14150. hit me up if you have any that are like what i need. and btw i want some high quality ones, i have $200 monster cable rca's i got for a steal and want to keep it sounding good from my 3sixty.2 to the amps.
  23. lets bump this bitch. i know ppl have offers for something on here. hit me with offers.
  24. and just what are your high quality goods that you use in your ride??? plus if you dont like what i have for sale here then go find somewhere else to be.
  25. oh and i forgot to mention, i will be more than willing to take offers on all of this.
