    Real Watts

It might do 300RMS at 4ohms, boss really isn't known for putting out major watts senor. I owned a 4 channel once that said it was bridgeable for 200RMS @ 4 and the a6450 that I own now is only 70x6 @ 4 and the power output almost doubled to my ear. A ton cleaner too. Spend a few extra bucks keep a smile on your face! Infinity makes decent reference amps that put out a bit of TRUE power at 4ohms. I owned a reference 475a.... it was a mini beast. Only cost me about 130 bucks too!
  3. Great seller here! Excellent communication and great batteries. Group 31's Took a full charge with no problems what so ever and rest at around 13.1v after coming off the charger a full day later! Would recommend!
  4. He'll be lucky if it does more than 3/4's of rated RMS power output. If he has a good electrical system it may push 1300-1600 rms. That's if it's anything like it's brother/sister within the same series
  5. There's a few users here with AP 30001D's that'll vouch for it, I myself included. The 30001D is nothing but two 15001 strapped together inside, we still have the option to run 2x 1500 @ 1ohm or 3000x1 @ 2ohm. There's been reviews on other forums. You could google it if you are still unsure. You won't be disappointed though.
  6. Audiopipe 150001D is around 185.00 shipped on car audio deals. @ 1ohm it would do rated power...
  7. That would actually depend on what bitrate you encode the audio and video at... This particular program doesn't compress videos well like I was telling you before. Most ipod screens are like what 2.5-3.5 inches? so you don't need a super large resolution to begin with. 352x240 normal video quality 12.2kbps audio quality Duration is 21:42 23.4MB So a little more than a megabyte a minute, by them being youtube video's the quality isn't too superb. I guess the compression is pretty fair.
  8. MP4 would be the appropriate format... I use Allok Video to 3GP Converter as far as converting goes... It doesn't compress very well but the quality is somewhat decent
  9. The astro engine is so compact and small as far as the runs from the alt to battery and ground ect... I don't think you'll notice a difference to be honest. The factory wire on my astro was 4 gauge. Running 0 gauge to the back I would recommend. 8-12gauge for speaker wire
  10. Throw an hc1400 up front and call it a day! my 97 astro has the original alternator on it and it's around 12 years old now.... Solid little beasts, as far as the battery put a stronger one up front and it should work out just fine. You can still add the cap at a later time if needed.
  11. Need to get that mid 2000 model GTO now come to think of it... I must own one of those beasts
  12. Good deal, glad to hear everything worked out for the best.
  13. I'd try pulling codes to see, if it won't start then you have no way of checking them without getting to autozone or a mechanic.... kind of an SOL situation unless you own an OBDI or II? I can't remember, either way. If the PCM is still functional it'll throw a few codes I'm sure.
  14. My car in particular has weird security features anytime there's a surge or I disconnect the battery cable. It makes me wait a couple minutes inbetween starting and connecting it back. Although I do have a digital dash that says it too. Check ALL of your fuses to make sure none of the others are gone. Is it trying to turn over at all? Or is it just not doing anything? Could be several things causing it... if the starter isn't turning the engine over at all, you may have killed something with your surge senor.
  15. That's some serious shit... I smell a lawsuit in the future!
  16. Not necessary, run a flow test on the radiator (ANY GOOD MECHANIC WILL KNOW) and make sure it's flowing properly and holding enough pressure, should be around 15lbs of pressure if I'm not mistaken. The cars are reliable, you just HAVE to keep up on the matinence otherwise they'll go to hell in the blink of an eye. Having it flushed and putting some GM tablets in there for the aluminum block will prevent headgasket leaks for future reference though.
  17. Something about that doesn't sound right, you figure a car you don't have to pay month notes on breaking down once every 8-12 months it's worth the investment to get it fixed one a year to save on insurnace and notes regardless.
  18. I have a 94 deville with the 4.9 liter engine in it, can't really comment much on the 4.6 liter engines but internally from my experience with owning mine. I inherited the car after my brother was murdered. It sat up for around 6-7 months. WORSE thing you can do is let them sit up and start back driving them. The maitenince wasn't kept up on the car at all and within a years time. (mostly due to sentimental value) I'd spent a bit more than 4,500 getting it fixed. Most of the stuff I probably could have lived with but it neeeded to be up to par. www.cadillacforums.com for all the reference information needed. I went through headgaskets, front struts, rear shocks, wheel bearings, knuckle bushings, radiator, EGR valve, fuel pressure regulator, neutral safety switch, idle speed control motor. The list goes on an on an on... The car was basically overhauled after sitting for so long. Find out how long it's been sitting, see if you can get it to mechanic to have him check the condition of it before the trade. Then make the swap. Most of the stuff I fixed was fixed as I was still driving the car daily and it didn't hinder it's ability to drive around. (even the head gasket leak wasn't all that bad) No loss of power what so ever engine never sputtered or stalled. Just ran a bit warm. Just depends on if you are willing to fix it all! Have a good mechanic check it out or if you can get the ignition switch turned on you can pull the trouble codes yourself from the digital display. OH one other thing most of the stuff that was wrong with my car I changed it myself to save labor costs. All parts were bought online and for what I paid for them it was reasonable. 4,500 later into a car that still had around a blue book value of about 4,800 at the time and it's going strong with 140k on the engine now:) Even beat riced up honda off the line from 0-50:)
  19. I bought several bags of hot cheeto's from a store one time and when I opened the first one after getting down the road. I noticed it was nothing but a bag of air......... Talking about pissed!!!!!! 50 cents!!!! bastages
  20. I can relate, my brother Derrick Guillory was stabbed in the heart by some physco chick 08/16/07. His birthdate is 04/23 so not too far off from your boys. I can relate to how you feel man. Hard times don't usually last forever, and memories you will never forget stick with you throughout life. Keep pushing forward with hopes you can see them again someday. In a much better place with less BS. R.I.P.
