Sweet thanks for the help guys!!! I only ordered 1 for right now as I don't have the funds and have a few other projects going on. Until I order the amp and other lvl 3 I can admire this one! lol

Ok I am going to get 2 DC Level 3 subs. (Only ordering 1 for right now) but I will also be getting a AQ1200d amp. Should I go dual 4 or dual 2 ohm? Thanks

Well it is pouring down here and lightning with 30mph winds so screw the pictures for now, haha. Here is the amp that I got also that is mounted on the box. http://images.google.com/imgres?imgurl=htt...sa%3DN%26um%3D1 Also the MTX that is in the last picture in my last post is the blown sub but I had another one just like it but it worked. (Gave it to a friend). -

Sorry totally forgot to get pics.....Will snap some tomorrow. Already gave my working MTX to a friend but I will post the rest up tomorrow. I am waiting until my tranny gets fixed and I get my wiring issue figured out before I install my CD changer but I am also thinking of getting a new radio anyways so it will be pointless after I can hook my iPod to the HU. -

Ok I tested the coils on the MTX and one of them was right at 5.5ish and the other was quite a bit higher, couldn't get a stable reading though. Also the MTX that doesn't work, the cone is really easy to push in compared to the working one. I hooked up the Audiobahn's and they both work and are dual voice coils, wired to 4ohms (I don't have a 1ohm stable amp). Anyways they aren't as loud as my current setup but they do work. Next item I will be working on is the CD changer but I don't think my radio will let me do it... Headunit: JVC KD-S690 CD Changer: CH-X350 Anyone know if it will work with my headunit? Thanks -

yep he knows I have it all. He has a motorcycle now and said it has been in his room about a year. Hoping I can get the 2nd mtx working and hoping both audiobahns work. If I have a working pair of eitherthe mtx or audiobahns I will put them in my truck also. Going to try out the cd changed over the weekend also. -

Well I took the MTX subs that were in the box and hooked them up to my alpine amp. Right sub worked and left didn't. Hooked up the pyramid amp and same thing. Took the sub out of the box and couldn't get anything out of it so I'm not sure whats up with it, the other sub sounds good though. They are MTX 4000's. Audiobahn's are DVC and say 400watts but haven't hooked them up yet. I will hook those up tomorrow and see if they work. Those are my first subs that are DVC so I will have to play around with them some. I will try to get some pictures tomorrow or whenever I get my camera back from my grandparents house. -
So my mom's co-worker said her son had some speakers and stuff and asked me if I wanted some, she had no clue what they were but said her son didn't want them and if I wanted them then I could have them. Anyways I said yes and my mom brought them home today. Now these are older items but I can't complain. 2 MTX audio 12" subs in a sealed box Pyramid 1000w bridgeable amp 4 channel I believe. 2 Audiobahn 12" subs says 400watts on the motor (one of the dustcaps is pushed in halfway but I might can save them, cone has a nick in it where something hit it but didnt go all the way through. Also got a JVC 12 disc CD changer, remote, and a few other things that I haven't gone through. I will go through it all and get some pictures of it. I am going to test all the subs out and if they all work decent I might build a box to put all of them in 1 box.....sealed off from each other though....or port the subs somehow for each set of subs.... Anyways I am pretty happy

LMAO! He gave me his Kenwood amp so at least I'm not bass-less for now and it actually does just as good IMO. I have never really soldered before but I might give it a shot and see what I can do. Called a few shops and they don't do repairs so I am thinking of just going ahead and getting a new amp.
-
Ok so I have an Alpine MRP-350w mono amp. Anyways my truck has been down for the past 6+ weeks and on about the 4th week my friend asked if he could borrow it until my truck gets fixed (He was running a Kenwood 280wamp). So I let him and he then comes over and says "Dude your amp isn't working". From that point I was pissed....It comes on and all but I know what he did yet he denies it. The ground terminal is loose and I have to position it a certain way for it to work. I am almost %100 sure that he tried pushing it under his seat and it bent the terminals because I already told him NOT to put it under the seat because of that..... Anyways anywhere I could send it off to get it resoldered or would it be best to just trash it now? Thanks

That is the other amp I was looking at. I could get away with just 1 Hifonics also.... I would rather keep it new stuff but I might can settle for used..... EDIT: That would be nice, thanks for the link troy. I can spend the extra dough and get some more power... I can always turn the amp down if needed....
-
Well I am on a budget so I can't spend $500 on a single amp. Looking at the Crunch PZI 2000 ( I know it will only be around 1000rms but I figure 2 of those, 1 for each L7). Looking for suggestions because my friend is probably going to do the same if he likes my setup. (think he got smart and decided to hear someone else's before he buys stuff!)
-
Alright cool. I am actually thinking of going with them also but I am torn between the Kicker L7's or Fi BL 12's. Guess time will tell or I pick from a hat, lol.
-
What do you guys think of the Kicker L7 12" ? Friend is looking into them and is going to get (2) 4 ohm DVC and run an amp to each of them. He is just wondering how they perform. Thanks

OK I talked to my cousin to see if he would give me a ride but he wants to know what type of cars are going to be at the show, about how many, any admission costs, and what all is near the show. And I won't be able to bring my truck either this time.....hasn't been on a road trip with us and considering we don't have overdrive fixed yet he would rather ride in his.
-
I will honestly never go with maaco again. My grandpa got his truck painted right before he passed away because he had it willed to go to me. Anyways the paint chips VERY VERY VERY easily. I will get some close up pics of where my chips are. I'm not happy with them to be honest and it was a $1500 bill. Not bad but not for what they did....

Looks sweet!!! Hate to go off-topic but how do you like these?
