  1. you buy some new shit and its fuckin loud as hell and sounds awesome.. and while you are showing it to your friend one of his friends (who you dont like) comes and looks at it too.. then the next week he buys the SAME EXACT subs, amps, speakers that you have and now tells everyone that his stuff is better... FUCK THAT!!
  2. yeah.. of course it looked cool.. thats why audibahn is out of business....audiobling FTL!!
  3. to be honest with you.. i have stinger, streetwires, and knukonceptz 1/0 all in my car and I can say that I like the stinger and knukonceptz better because they are extremely flexible and easy to work with. I would really get him to look at www.knukonceptz.com ... they have ridiculous prices on their amp kits and they have several more strands than most company's wiring kits that were mentioned above. just my honest opinion.
  4. thats really freakin cool. i dont care.. i run JL subs. i really dont like MTX subs. their amps are great though. nice you could bring up something i wasnt even talking about....
  5. well... the amp was in their hands on 3/21/07 and shipped out ,repaired and all, on 3/22/07. guess MTX really is fast with their repairs huh? great customer service is always a great thing.
  6. lol.. i wasnt asking for an explanation of how to do it.. i already know how. i was just wondering how long the wire needs to be to stretch from the battery under the hood to the back seats. 12ft? 14ft? thanks.
  7. well.. you see i was just trying to find out how much i am going to need b/c i had all the wiring in my civic before this and took it all out and i dont think that it is going to be long enough. I think my power wire will be long enough actually.. but not the wire from the alternator to the kinetik under the back seat... I'll have to check it out and see though...
  8. I need to know if anyone here knows how long the power wire needs to be so it can reach to under the back seats in a 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee. I cannot find it on the internet anywhere. I will be running the battery under the hood to my Kinetik HC800 under the back seats most likely. Anyone with a 1999-2004 grand cherokee please help b/c they are all the same construction and the same measurements. thanks in advance
  9. wow.. id have to say that at least 75 pounds flying forward and slamming into a battery would cause any amp to have something come loose. and it was only 1 little capacitor. id say it took it like a champ.
  10. yeah right.. mtx amps are ridiculously nice. i just got unlucky b/c of my box with the amp mounted on the back of it slamming into my Kinetik in the trunk.. thats what caused those pieces to become loose. they are fuckin nice amps too. dont diss MTX amps. their subs.. yeah.. you can diss em' they arent that great, but mtx amps are top-of-the-line, no matter what anyone says.
  11. well.. thats where the little capacitor came from...those 2 to the right of it are loose as well.
  12. It didnt just fall out. on the 7801 there is a space on the back that lets heat out. i tipped it to that side b/c i heard it loose in there and it came out. I talked to MTX about 30 minutes ago and they said it would cost $95 to fix. yeah, of course stupid shit like this happens to ME... im just a bad luck type of person with ALL shit that i do.
  13. well.. it might have just fallen out b/c when i had all my stuff in the trunk the amp was mounted on the back of my box... and my kinetik hc800 was right in front of the amp and when i had to make a sudden stop the box would fly forward and hit the battery. this might have caused it. but it must have been like that for a long time b/c about 2 months ago i figured out a way to keep my box completely still and it hasnt moved since. and the amp has been fine.. so i dont think i should bother with it unless it messes up and then ill just send it to MTX and get it fixed..
  14. oh shit..sorry. got in a rush there
  15. This fell out of my amp the other day... the amp still works perfectly fine. Will this harm my amp in the long run? should i do something about it asap? thanks in advance
  16. x2... I understand what your saying and completely agree...The DD is an awesome sub, stick with it...They can do some pretty crazy things thanks ernesto for agreeing.. i know you have some BTL's.. cant wait for your new setup.
  17. im not dissin the BTL. its an awesome sub... just everyone is getting them nowadays and i really like the DD.. im just saying to upgrade the DD and you'll have yourself a very nice sub.
  18. haha. if you power it enough it should kill p3's any day of the week. but again, its all install dependent. but btl's are insane subs for the money.
  19. yeah dude.. one CVR will not get as loud as the P3's ... especially in a car. if you had an suv and another sub then it would probably be closer..but the rockfords would prevail. ive actually heard 2 blazers, one with 2 cvr's powered fully and the other with 2 p3's powered fully .. coincidence? lol.. but the p3's prevailed in spl and sq. rockford's no joke.. but if you put an mtx 7500 12" in there against 1 p3 i swear it will prevail. ;D
  20. upgrade the sub man... dont jump on the FI bandwagon.. i mean, hell, the BTL is an insane sub. but if you have the dd already and you dont see too many people with them why not be different and upgrade that dd? i have loved dd stuff since ive been into car audio. they pound like crazy.
  21. yeah credit card gift cards are awesome... its basically a credit card so why cant you use it online? does it not have numbers on it or something?
  22. too bad you cant use it on online purchases the hc800 can be had for 129.99 on ebay. free shipping. im investing in one as well for the trunk.
  23. do it right and get either a stinger wiring kit or a streetwires kit. both can be found at www.cardomain.com.. a little pricey...but well worth it.. or you could go to www.knukonceptz.com and buy their KOL-AKO wiring kit - they actually give you 5 feet of ground cable so you can ground your amp and battery too.. then buy however much more wire you need for the alt to batt and engine ground with their kolossus cable.. great wire.. i just bought some more of that stuff to wire my batt in my trunk..
  24. i just hooked up my sub amps to the 12v from the headunit and hooked the 2 channel up to the ignition wire... thats all.. its perfectly fine.
